  1. So he can gain Flyers alumni points, and have his jersey retired, of course.
  2. A pretty good deadline. We traded little, and got back veteran leadership and some picks. I didn't really go in thinking we would make a blockbuster trade. Hopefully, Briere is able to clear out some cap room and sign a talented player or two, in the offseason. I'm a little disappointed we didn't pickup a backup goalie, but that's fine. If this team wins one playoff round, they've had a hell of a year. The team isn't there yet. The fact that we're even talking about the playoffs, with this very young roster, is amazing IMO.
  3. Gurianov has a lot of skill around the net and has a very good shot, and Allison has never shown the Flyers enough to prove to them that he's an NHLer. So, it's a good deal for the Flyers. Maybe he sticks around and helps Michkov, when he hopefully makes his debut, in 2026. It's a good "prove it" deal, for Gurianov.
  4. To me, it's insurance...a cheap veteran Cup winning defenseman, who is willing and able to do a lot of things Seeler does, in case he gets hurt. Good move, and they only gave up a 4th round pick, for a 35 year old.
  5. I told you guys that somewhere, somehow, the Flyer ol’ boy network, still has some control.
  6. I think Danny B comes away today with another pick, a backup goalie, another d man (Chychrun) and MAYBE a little good scoring depth. If they can do that today, I'll be happy. I think Laughton gets traded to the Leafs, for a 1st.
  7. If they feel like Chychrun can help the power play (for one thing), they should pay the first rounder and a prospect, which is likely what it's going to take to get him.
  8. Good deal. Nice job, if true, Danny B. We might not like the deal, when he turns 34..but this is a good deal.
  9. Fair enough that you're done with that, but Vatrano would have more value than Atkinson, who barely has a purpose on the team...who replaced a much higher priced veteran who was stealing money from the team. Remember Voracek? I understand that you're done with that, but I want players on the team that can play. The good news is, the organization is making progress. We have lower priced garbage on it. As far as a guy like Frost, if the coach doesn't like him (which Torts doesn't seem to)..maybe they should move on from him. Not every young player on the roster, is going to work out here. Not by any means saying "Stop the youth movement", but I want talent that produces.
  10. The Panthers just picked up a second line RW...Tarasenko, so they are definitely not standing still. They're going to be a beast to knock out of the playoffs, for sure.
  11. Yes, we're supposed to be rebuilding. However, we have veterans who can't play at a high level anymore..or so it seems (Atkinson). Plus, we have young players like Frost..there are others but I'll pick on him, who seem to be in Tort's doghouse. When do we move on from him? We should be getting younger...I'm onboard with that...but I don't want to get to the point where we're in a perpetual rebuild either, praying that ALL of the young guys pan out.
  12. OK, but let's say hypothetically we can somehow get rid of Atkinson's useless posterior (in a trade for a pick, I guess), and then add Vatrano..isn't that an upgrade? I think so, although Vatrano is 29. I'm all for the youth movement, but I also want a few productive reasonably priced veterans who can score, in the lineup.
  13. You're fired up, man. It's not a rebuild, it's a corporate player restructuring... I guess. They'll never tell season ticket holders, that it's a rebuild. Not sure why they won't admit, that it's a rebuild.
  14. How about Walker and a high pick...like a 2nd or a 3rd to Anaheim, for Vatrano? It works out well, salary wise. Walker is a right handed shot that the Ducks have been rumored to want.
  15. Seeler isn't worth anything less, than a second. If it's a player and a third, then OK, but I doubt that happens.
  16. Yeah, he does look lost. He's playing like he's got just about nothing left, whereas I feel like Zamula is playing pretty well and getting dragged down a bit by him. Maybe (hopefully) some team takes him off of our hands, for a decent draft pick.
  17. It is sad. Whether we get a finisher or setup guy, the team needs an offensive jolt.. via trade. Captain Obvious here... I know we get the shots on goal, but we need BETTER shots on goal. Forty one shots on goal, and only one scored doesn't cut it. This has happened much more than I'd like it to, this season. I want to see at least one more good points producer acquired here, by this Friday.
  18. Now, Briere has to tell Torts to bench Risto until the trade deadline.
  19. Ersson's goalpost gets the First Star of the game. Pretty good effort from the offense, especially the Laughton line.
  20. He got hit in the Chychlets pretty good, didn't he? You're welcome.
