Wonder what it’s like to have a team with tons of offensive stars?
Those Leave offensive stars still don't know what it's like, to win a Cup. Oh, that's right...neither do the Flyers.
Carry on.

Tavares scores. One goal game. Finish the job, Flyers.

GREAT job by Tippett to never give up on that play.

The post gets the number one star of the night. Everybody thought the post was a stiff. Not me.
Bertuzzi makes it a one goal game. They got momentum from their PK. Now the Flyers are getting sloppy and careless, and the Leaves have a chance to tie the game. Damn. Stay out of the box!

Poehling great hustle to get the puck out of the zone, or the Leaves would have had a great chance. The Flyers need to slow the pace down, a bit.

It is not unrealistic to think they could go 11-6 or better, IMHO. If they do that, they should remain in a favorable spot. They NEED to get the power play going.. and keep it rolling, if they have any chance of doing that against these opponents, though. The schedule makers did the Flyers no favors, down the stretch with back to backs, and tough opponents.

Ranta on waivers seemed odd to pass on.
I'm fine with them passing on Raanta. Maybe it's just me, but he seems to get injured a lot. I wanted a veteran backup goalie at the deadline, just not him.

It was Tori Krug who used his NMC to block a trade to the Flyers for Sanhiem last summer.
It's nothing current or new, but did happen.
His team sucks but at least he and Haysey can get good barbeque together .
Those miserable bastards
Looking at Krug's play this year, and I realize the Blues not being great defensively or scoring a lot offensively, isn't all on him...but a -27 is in fact, that. The Flyers not trading Sanheim for him, was the right decision.

WHY IS CAM ATKINSON STILL IN THE LINEUP!!!!
So he can gain Flyers alumni points, and have his jersey retired, of course.

A pretty good deadline. We traded little, and got back veteran leadership and some picks. I didn't really go in thinking we would make a blockbuster trade. Hopefully, Briere is able to clear out some cap room and sign a talented player or two, in the offseason. I'm a little disappointed we didn't pickup a backup goalie, but that's fine.
If this team wins one playoff round, they've had a hell of a year. The team isn't there yet. The fact that we're even talking about the playoffs, with this very young roster, is amazing IMO.

Gurianov has a lot of skill around the net and has a very good shot, and Allison has never shown the Flyers enough to prove to them that he's an NHLer. So, it's a good deal for the Flyers. Maybe he sticks around and helps Michkov, when he hopefully makes his debut, in 2026. It's a good "prove it" deal, for Gurianov.

To me, it's insurance...a cheap veteran Cup winning defenseman, who is willing and able to do a lot of things Seeler does, in case he gets hurt. Good move, and they only gave up a 4th round pick, for a 35 year old.

Ok, so how long does broken down used to be Erik Johnson re-sign with the Flyers for ? (don't forget to add an extra year to what the dumbest length could be)
4 yrs with an NMC.

I swear, when you sign on the dotted line to be GM of the Flyers, theres a clause in there that says you must makes trades that leave our fans scratching their heads in bewilderment.
I told you guys that somewhere, somehow, the Flyer ol’ boy network, still has some control.

I think Danny B comes away today with another pick, a backup goalie, another d man (Chychrun) and MAYBE a little good scoring depth. If they can do that today, I'll be happy. I think Laughton gets traded to the Leafs, for a 1st.

Have a bad feeling that they are going to overpay for Chychrun.
If they feel like Chychrun can help the power play (for one thing), they should pay the first rounder and a prospect, which is likely what it's going to take to get him.

Dont know if this is true/confirmed...
Seeler will sign an extension with the orange and black for 3 to 4 years, and the approximate AAV will be $2.5-$3.5 million.
Good deal. Nice job, if true, Danny B. We might not like the deal, when he turns 34..but this is a good deal.

I'd prefer to get a pick, or a prospect with potential for Walker. Guys like Vatrano will just help to keep us "barely a playoff team".
I'm done with that.
Fair enough that you're done with that, but Vatrano would have more value than Atkinson, who barely has a purpose on the team...who replaced a much higher priced veteran who was stealing money from the team. Remember Voracek? I understand that you're done with that, but I want players on the team that can play. The good news is, the organization is making progress. We have lower priced garbage on it.
As far as a guy like Frost, if the coach doesn't like him (which Torts doesn't seem to)..maybe they should move on from him. Not every young player on the roster, is going to work out here. Not by any means saying "Stop the youth movement", but I want talent that produces.

And knowing Flyer luck now the Panthers will win the Cup making the Flyers 1st round pick they own the 32nd pick in the draft basically an early 2nd!
The Panthers just picked up a second line RW...Tarasenko, so they are definitely not standing still. They're going to be a beast to knock out of the playoffs, for sure.

What do the Flyers (who are "supposed" to be rebuilding) want with a 30 year old at our deepest position?
We should be getting younger, not older.
Yes, we're supposed to be rebuilding. However, we have veterans who can't play at a high level anymore..or so it seems (Atkinson). Plus, we have young players like Frost..there are others but I'll pick on him, who seem to be in Tort's doghouse. When do we move on from him? We should be getting younger...I'm onboard with that...but I don't want to get to the point where we're in a perpetual rebuild either, praying that ALL of the young guys pan out.
