  1. Stevens can show them how to go for their opponents heads. Dirty player IMO.
  2. if Comcast was willing to throw $200 million towards UFAs a few weeks ago, I think they can eat $1.1 million to get Shelley of the roster.
  3. Miller is married to a model/actress that spends a majority of time in So. Cal so maybe he would like to go to the Ducks?
  4. Maybe Homer can offer him an immediate assistant coach position like they did with Cote, LOL!
  5. Now that Sestito is re-signed, how long before we finally cut ties with Jody "Good Lockerroom Guy" Shelley? T-minus 85 days and counting to the start of the regular season. Just rip the bandaid off Homer, it won't hurt as much! Remember this classic?
  6. He is known to be fragile, might be too risky.
  7. Nick Lukko is on the roster jammer I still wanna find out if that John Stevens is related to our former coaching legend?
  8. I also see a John Stevens on the roster as an invitee, could he be the son of our former Cake Boss?
  9. Here's hoping he can perform like a Top 4 player, while getting 5-6 Dman minutes. I am also hoping he has the same work ethic and passion as his best friend Max Talbot!
  10. I know I will get ripped for suggesting this but how about bringing OD back to as a 6th/7th d-man. He was ok the year he was here, keeps in good condition and could be a good mentor to our younger guys like Gus, Manning and Bourdon. Let the ripping begin in 3,2,1..........
  11. will actually let Parise leave the family (devils)? Lamoriello probably has Parise's parents locked away somewhere as insurance. "Zach, you can't leave this thing of ours!"- Uncle Junior Sporano Lamorellio, July 1, 2012
  12. Cut Brodeur some slack, after 19 seasons he just wants a chance to play in a home arena that actually has fans come to the games!
  13. Isn't it funny that when Homer talked about trading Richards and Carter last summer he said that the main reason was to get bigger up front.
  14. Jody Shelley c'mon down, your the next contestant on the Waiver Wire!
  15. @AndyS- I want to see a Stanley Cup as much as the next flyers fanatic but let's look at the issue this season. Piss poor goaltending and shoty D. Can't do much other than hope Bryzgalov rebounds next season. Giving away some long term assets for one guy with an almost 8 million cap hit and not addressing the D issue just baffles me. If Homer thinks our kids are expendable then package them for Weber or another top defensemen.
  16. @jammer2- I'm stealing this line; Even Ray Charles can see Coot's offensive potential!"
  17. Cooter showed a ton last season and will only grow. Tough to evaluate Schenn because he was hurt so much. I agree they don't trade him after bringing big brother in. Homer needs to stay away from this and focus on the back end!
  18. According to Tim P "What is holding up a deal is CBJ want top assets and Flyers wont agree to Schenn and Couturier. L Schenn deal last week a factor here" Coots needs to be off limits IMHO, plus Nash is not going to keep the puck out of the net. I really hope he is reporting BS http://t.co/bE1eTXNx
  19. wish we could have gotten him earlier in his career, the guy is the definition of WARRIOR.
  20. Howie, I hope all is well! I saw Garrison play in the AHL here in Rochester before getting a FT shot with Florida. He has a huge shot, but the knock on him is that he plays to the level of his defensive partner. When paired with an offensive D-man like Brian Campbell, Garrison had a breakout year offensively. Cheap option, maybe paired with Kimmo??
  21. I agree with both of you! Just posted it becasue there was a lot of sentiment on this board regarding bringing him back via trade to play 10-15 games next season (family still in area, close with Homer, Good lockerroom guy like Jody Shelly )
