  1. Many of Buffalo's fans have now called this team "unwatchable". So they have dove to new depths. Miller has been the one bright spot and I really feel for him. He will play on the Island tonight. Three goals would probably be enough for the Sabres to break the ice but will it happen? They played better in Chicago than in Buffalo last night and when teams are in a mess like this, the road is more kind than being booed constantly at home. If you were on the team would you not rather play anywhere than the Niagra Center? What a disastrous start. And not just for us either as I look at the Standings. We are not alone. If Regier is backing Rolston, how long can he do this? He fires a guy like Lindy Ruff who has a proven record of success but how long can Pegula tolerate this? If he is even watching
  2. An old friend gets an ovation before the game and then beats us. Poetic. So we are as low as low can get. One thing though, Ryan Miller will play tonight and he has a 941 save percentage even though he is 0-4. That is pretty impressive for having no help. He has played as good as any goalie in the NHL> I wonder if him and Vanek will be spared and be realeased to a contender? The season is over and we are two weeks in. Pretty much, barring a miraculous turn around. yes there is time and plenty of games. But we are getting beat by a goal every night. 2-1 in Chicago and now this. We are not as bad as our record and I think most people realize that. I wonder if Rolston can survive this though? Should he?
  3. Buffalo played pretty darn well in defeat and I believe the next game will be the charm. Miller was great and they had just plain terrible luck at the end of this game. But they were all over the Hawks and never quit. There is hope and it may not look like it in the standings but deserved a better outcome.
  4. Rolston is pushing the right buttons and now we need results. Miller is ready and Rolston has decided to light a fire under Gregorenko and replace him with Larrson. I expect a big effort and I will hope Bobrovsky plays like he did in Philly vs us rather than how he did at the end of last year. I believe Vanek breaks through tonight. Hopefully the team will also. Miller has been great in his 3 games. Its time they reward him with a few goals.
  5. I am telling it like it is. The place was furious. We had just scored and the ref did not blow the whistle while Ott had control of the puck. He decided after to call us for a penalty that I did not see on the replay. We would have been up 3-1 rather than tied 2-2 after they converted the PP. We were so pissed off its no wonder they had us distracted. I do not know h0w Rolston kept it together. Ruff would have been tossed. I would have thrown the sticks on the ice.
  6. Should be 3-1 Sabres but they take the goal away and give them a ******* power play. Pure ****. Ott had puck and they did not blow whistle
  7. I wonder if Miller is wanting to get out? Maybe the Sabres are talking to teams? Just guessing because no word is available as to why Hackett has been called up from Rochester. Maybe they are going to give him a look? Tallinder hurt and Sulzer recalled also. About to go see who we play next. Bad start, but its early and the loss's were tough. The Pittsburgh loss does not bother me as much because I know they were rested and we had played a very tough game the night before
  8. This kid Girgensons is going to be a good one. Miller was fabulous but they could not beat Anderson. Miller was the best player on the ice. 46 saves. Weber let him down at the end. Needed to block the shot the lazy idiot. The young guys are playing well and will get rewarded soon. I hope soon is in Pittburgh. Lots of crazy scores all over the league so why not. It sucks Miller lost this game. His GAA is so far not going to rule him out of an olympic spot. He proved again tonight to me he is the best goalie in hockey
  9. Leino is injured already. Larrson will take his place and Rolston is interested to see what the young center can do. Will we really miss this Leino guy? I am about fed up with him
  10. Brad May will replace Roby as the Sabres commentator on home games at least. Rick Jeanorette will retire in 2016. I sure hope we could bring him a Cup by then. It will be sad to see them leave.
  11. It did not start good and Myers was bad. Other than that I cannot complain because the Sabres took it to them in the latter part of the second and the third. They hit a post, Vanek did, and that would have tied it. Its one game and Detroit has played together longer as a unit. I see some promise. 82 games is a long schedule. We did not get blown out. We held our own and for the first game in a tough building that is not bad.
  12. Steve Ott has brought great fire to this team. Thomas Vanek is the true superstar. So they both get a C and that will unite this team. I love it!!!!!!!
  13. I am not waiting for your rebuilding talk. We have the weapons to compete now for a playoff spot. So get it done. If this coach does not get them going then fire his ass and get a real proven guy in there. I cant believe you are still pinching pennies when you have a committed owner willing to spend for once in our history. We were lucky we had the french connection back in the early days to make us a team to be reckoned with. And now Lindy is behind the bench with a talented Dallas team and God knows what damage they can do. WIN NOW DAMN IT
  14. Mr know it all is at it again. Suggesting the Penguins may be able to land Ryan Miller at the deadline. BS I say. First of all, what do they think they are going to give us for Miller? A second round draft pick? Not going to work and we are not going to get sucked in. I cannot stand Melrose. His return to coaching should have been enough proof what a moron he is.
  15. Colombus had t travel more than any team last year and look how they finished. With far less miles to deal with, they should have a bit more jump in their step this year. It can only help them. If they get the goaltending they got last year, who knows how good they might be?
  16. Team: PITTSBURGH PLAYER OVETCHKIN (WAKE ME UP WHEN HE RETURNS TO THE LOCKER ROOM)
  17. For the first time in a long time the Buffalo Sabres are pretty much being ignored. Totally. The last time I remember this was at the end of the second last lock out and the result was the guys in the "slug" uniforms took the NHL by storm Am I suggesting this can happen again? Probably not. But they can surprise. They can play far better than the so called experts can see coming. Lindy is making quite a splash down in Dallas already with the new spazzy green uniform's and the supposedly loaded lineup. November 28th we may get to see which team is better? Or maybe it will be an anomaly? Either way, we had a good pre season and so did they. I hope they hit the ice in Motown with a bang. I hope Miller looks and plays like the great goalie he can be,. I hope Vanek has a six point night like he did in the first National TV game last year, (I will not mention the opponent at the risk of self destruction). Some new faces like McBain, Rasmus (I will never know how to spell his last name), and more. Here is to putting the well deserving fans of Buffalo back on the map. Say anything you want, but the fans in Buffalo are great hockey fans.
  18. Man, at Montreal and Philly back to back nights? Are you kidding me? I would say the game at Montreal they will be out to win for sure. They know the Flyers will be rested and ready with a festive crowd awaiting. Sometimes I wonder though if it might be an advantage to have a few shifts rather than be idle? Still, I think the Flyers have an edge due to the schedule. We open in Detroit but get a night off before the opener against an old enemy, Ottawa. Even after that fight I still hate Ottawa far more. I never hated the Leafs. Ottawa, Boston and Montreal I cannot stand.
  19. Will be interesting to see who gets the nod as the Sabres have 17 locked in for sure. The injury to the kid sucks. He may have helped? The Finnish kid may get his shot in the first game. Rasmus RistolanIN, would be on most likely the third pairing. Myers and Erhoff no doubt will be the first unit. I believe Ott will be huge on killing penalties. Pommenville was probably our best killer for years.
  20. If Shanahan is one of the "leaders" you are referring to I am with you and I cant stand the SOB
  21. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/eye-on-hockey/23824805/sabres-ron-rolston-fined-for-player-selection-team-conduct-in-brawl No surprise here. Gee, the poor guy will be lucky to have enough left to go to McDonalds on his salary in Buffalo. LOL. At least no players got whacked like the Leafs. What good is to suspend Kessel for remainder of pre season? Clarkson had the book thrown at him. Bad blood has been injected into both teams with each other.
  22. I do not know how Rick will pronounce some of these names because I sure cannot even spell them. The two G guys expecially. Rick has been such a great part of the Sabres and his game calls are just fabulous. I have him right up there with the late great Dan Kelly as one of the best ever for calling games and making them exciting.

  24. I say its a no brainer he is on the roster. Why would Sportsline have Pysyk on the depth chart when he is not even listed on the roster? Ridiculous and typical of them. The number one pick starts on the second or third defensive unit IMO. Just dont put him with Mike Weber. Erhoff and Myers will be the first and I would guess either McBain or Talliinder to be with Rasmus?
