Without Kirill, and to a lesser extent, Zucc.  We would literally be shut out in half of our games this year (it seems).  We have almost zero goal scoring knack without those two, and an occasional dose of EEK and Boldy.  Regardless of Dean's ManLove for griders, they simply MUST bring up some goal scoring touch.  It is killing the Wild (and Kap's capabilities) to have SO many goal scoring chances negated by unskilled finishers.  😒

I can think of one guy but unfortunately he’s in LA

I have seen SO many crazy set-ups by Kap whiffed on this year, that it makes me wonder if he would have 25 more assists.  THIS will cause him to leave the Wild if they don't surround him with more dependable skill (Rossi, Walker, Ohgren, Yurov, Khusnutdino - obviously when all are free of contracts or obligations - they cannot come soon enough).

BTW:  Our PP2 is utterly feeble.

All to save another $6MM defense man that we don't need (and also previously caused Tuch to move to Vegas - a guy whom would look really good on the Wild now).  REAL head-scratching decisions in my mind.

Lastly, Gaudreau is just a specialist; solid PK, good shootout guy, and defensive specialist.  He is simply NOT a Top 6 forward and it is painfully obvious that Fiala presence last year was why Boldy developed quickly - Gaudreau was just a passenger/by-stander on that line - it sure shows this year.  Most of Boldy's points are with Kap and Zucc on PP.  Evason man-crush is killing Boldy development (and that of Line 2).

All that said, our prospect pool seems deep, and I expect a 'house cleaning' after this year to add some scoring youth.  I will also give Kudos to Wild management in finding a he77 of a '#2' goaltender in Gus.  NO ONE should be missing Talbott, as we now we have a young pair locked in for the next 5+ years in net, and most of our D coming up.  We just need SCORING to support Kap. - and please let them get to the NHL early, instead of forcing these long missionary stints in Iowa that causes them to stagnate before they arrive.😠
