Buffalo Sabres defenceman Robyn Regehr has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for second round draft picks in 2014 and 2015.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the 32-year-old has waived his full no-movement clause. Completion of the deal is contingent on Regehr passing a medical exam.

In 29 games this year he has registered two assists, 21 and a minus-four rating.

Regehr is in the final year of a five-year, $20.1 million contract he signed with the Calgary Flames prior to the 2008-09 season. That deal carries an average annual value of $4.02 million.

A veteran of 13 NHL seasons, Regehr has played 932 career games between the Sabres and Calgary Flames, registering 30 goals and 140 assists with 879 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round (19th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired by the Flames in the trade that sent Theoren Fleury to Colorado.

Regehr has represented Canada on the international stage on numerous occasions, including being a member of Canada's 2006 Olympic team that went to Turin, Italy. He also won silver medals at the 2005 IIHF World Championships and the 1999 World Junior Championships.
