B21
Looks like the lines are............Iginla / Malkin / KunitzDupuis / Juicy / MorrowCooke / Sutter / KennedyAdams / Glass / (Jeffrey/Bennett/Vitale)Nothing on the D pairings but figure something along the likes of...Orpik / NiskanenMurray / EngellandDepres / Eaton(Bortuzzo)BTB games for the Canes. Nice "long" break for us. No Cam Ward for the Canes who have lost 5 straight and 9 of 10.Should be able to snag 2 points which would clinch the Atlantic. (I mean - I smell a let down.)Juicy will be fired up for ths one.
nossagog
Game day skate pairings on defense were:Orpik-EatonNiskanen-MurrayBortuzzo-EngellandDespres-LetangGood to see Tanger in full practice mode. Maybe he plays by the end of this road trip.
B21
Odd no Depres. This seems like a game where he would get the nod over Bortuzzo.

Despres would be much better in bring the puck up ice. Well see what the call at game time is.
Polaris922
Especially since the Pens need breakout passing not fisticuffs.
nossagog
Hey, at least we get to see Beau in the lineup tonight
nossagog
Beau comes through with a great goal, after setting it up with a big hit behind the net before the transition. Pretty well played game, still really missing Martin and Letang carrying out the puck, right now we just wait for the forecheck to pin us in.
Polaris922
Wish I could've seen the game. Had to go to a promotions ceremony instead. The fools promoted me into more authority... oops!

You were using that reverse logic again on Byslma I see.Gotta say, what about the way that the throwin is playing this year. The throw in being Pascal Dupuis, thrown in during the Hossa trade, his work ethic and GULP point production has been phenominal. He had the second most minutes on the ice for all forwards last night. The guy is playing WAAAAAAAAAAY above the $1.5M he's getting per year. I guess even a blind squirrel (Shero) finds a nut every now and then (Dupuis).
nossagog
Ray's been pretty good with the "toss in's". Niskanen could be considered the same. A toss in in the Neal/Goliogoski trade, but he's now solid on our second pairing.

Polaris922
Gotta love what Shero has done for this squad. Anyone can jump up and down about the big names, but it's those extras in most every deal that have stood out in my eyes. Was good to see broken Glass get a point finally. Even if it was off his butt or whatever at least he went to the net. And Bennett looked really good last night. Sorry I couldn't contribute more but I missed the first period and was a bit distracted at the bar after to be posting!
