jammer2
The Spits got Yazkov from Russia 11th overall in the yearly CHL European Draft. He's slated to go 40th or mid second in next years NHL draft in Philly. Supposed to be a highly skilled center and has already flown to Windsor the day after the draft, chances are he plays next year. He was also the 11th pick in the KHL's entry draft this spring. With the 15th pick the Spits selected Jacob De La Rose,. who was selected early second round in this years NHL amateur draft by the Montreal Canadians. Since he was not a first round pick, Montreal has no real control over where he plays....but they will probably work with Rychel in order to view their picks progress closely in North America.A nice day for Mr.Rychel overseas. Snagged 2 very skilled forwards...nice haul indeed.http://blogs.windsor...l-import-draft/ Edited July 6, 2013 by jammer2
flyercanuck
@jammer2Yazkov was one of the jewels of the import draft. He should really help your cheatin' Spits out . Barrie didn't pick until 47th, and may have taken the last Euro goalie ever in the CHL, Daniel Gibl of Slovakia. Their 2nd pick, at 107th had a Philly flavour to it, Adrian Kempe (Marios Bro, a Flyer draft pick)
jammer2
@flyercanuck I guess you can no longer trade picks in the Euro Import Draft, huh? Just heard that last week.
