In the meantime, top line center Claude Giroux will look tonight for his first point of the young season. The team as a whole will look to get going offensively, after scoring a total of five goals in the first four games. You know, Berube is new, and in the name of stability, I can understand keeping the same line combos. But seriously, that Giroux line is terrible. Here's a guy - your $8.25M captain - who admits he's got a few confidence issues right now, and instead of giving him the support he needs, you take it away? Digityman Posted October 11, 2013 Share Posted October 11, 2013 Completely agree @brelic. I was just reading an article about this. Hartnell has no business being on the first line. It's been said over and over again. If the fans can see it, why can't the coaching staff? The Chief is putting a more defensive minded system into place. That will help with team defense and will help with those like Vinny, Hartnell and Schenn not getting back to help as quickly as they should. I like those a lot better! Vinny and Schenn seem to have chemistry together, and SImmonds is the perfect 2nd line grinder/net presence.
