jammer2 Posted October 7, 2014 Share Posted October 7, 2014 @Irishjim I was really surprised when this deal went down....for a few reasons. First off, Hutchinson is a fine young goalie, and judging by his play in the NHL last year, he was ready for a full time back up position, *maybe* even challenge the veteran bum Pavalac for the starter job on the Jets. Plus, Hutch was slated to make much less than Budjai.....so I never understood just where the Jets were coming from on this deal. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First off, Eric Tangredi had a one way deal, he was scheduled to make 700,000 on the Jets or their farm team. So, the Jets were motivated to dump his guaranteed cap hit.
