hf101 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 With the 50th goal of the season against the Hurricanes, Ovechkin became the 6th player in history to score 50 goals in at least 6 seasons. Only Bossy and Gretzky have have scored 50 or more goals in 9 seasons. I think in a few years this will be a record that Ovie will own. This goal also ties him with Peter Bondra for the most goals (472) in Capital's history.
ScottM Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Barring injuries, Ovechkin could put up some absolutely massive goal scoring numbers. I think he has a legitimate shot at 800 goals, and if we're ever going to see anyone threaten the goals record, it will probably be him.
JagerMeister Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Not even 30 assists? What a selfish playerObviously took up Gandalf's challenge
