Saw a link to this on reddit and thought it was interesting.  Rubbing salt in old wounds...

In short, had Carter potted that glorious chance, there was a high likelihood that the Blackhawks would have been without Toews in Game 7.  Imagine would could have happened...

 

Other than that, it's an interesting look at just how much "puck luck" plays a role in the game.

Yeah, he didn't do much in the POs.  Maybe some of that was due to injury, but he was non-existent.  If only he could elevate the puck...

 

It's amazing the career he want on to have with the Kings.  Much better in the POs with them and was a beast in 2014.

That trade woke him up and saved his career.

Pretty much.  I think he even settled down and got married.  That trade may have been the best thing for him.  Although, he handled it terribly at the time.

 

In retrospect, who would have thought Carter would have had the better career between he and Richards?
