The one guy I remember that had that 'if you are even with him, he's leavin' type speed was Pavel Bure.  Different player than McDavid, but same sick acceleration with a powerful stride (McDavid's being longer).

He got burned pretty bad. Why he moved more to the middle of the ice instead of at him made no sense

Suter is the 4th or 5th best D.  He should have those minutes.  Brodin is FAR better, as is Spurgeon, and likely Dumba most days (due to 'real offense' versus the second assists from half-game of ice time).  Soucy should pass him soon, and I have high hopes for Addison and Menell sooner rather than later.  This guy and his contract are like a millstone around the team's neck.
