Fabbro of the Preds threw an elbow into the head of Carolina's Brock McGinn last night and received a two minute penalty but a two game suspension. Truth, it sounds about right.

Panarin is back practicing with the rangers and will return to the lineup in a matter of days.

INJURY UPDATES

Hertl of the Sharks has cleared Covid protocol and will be back in the lineup on Friday night.

Alex Pietrangelo is out, after blocking a shot with his hand for 'the foreseeable future'. It hasnt quite worked out the way they were hoping so far to say the least.

Elias Pettersson is out at least another week.

Jack eichel is out at least a week after a rough crosscheck by cizikas on sunday.

Teuvo Teravainen was supposedly ready to get back in the lineup after his concussion but his nightmare season continues as rod Brind amour says he is still a ways off.

The Kings net is a mess, Quick is out with a LBI and now Peterson has been added to Covid protocol. The Kings have quietly had a strong season, but this in an untenable situation.

Roman Josi is out, some are whispering it may be long term, he is officially listed as week to week with an ubi.

Josh Manson and Hampus Lindholm are out for the woeful Ducks blueline.

Darcy Kuemper is on the IR again as usual with Raantta taking over the net full time for now.

Robin Lehner is going to play two games in the AHL on a conditioning stint and is days away from returning.

Others who are edging closer are Anthony Duclair in florida, Nyquist in Columbus and Makar in Colorado.

Jeez, I really ahd no idea the injury list especiallly of big name players had grown so big.

OH AND ANOTHER ONE.  Big Ben bishop has went from week to week to month to month and Jim Nill said a day or two ago that he is out until April. If Dallas is eliminated he probably wont return this year.

Some bits n pieces I cherry picked from your post, @yave1964 :

Teenage Mutant Ninja Hertl close to a return is good news for the Sharks....and my MN Ice Kickers.  :)
Question will be: What kind of shape will he be in after the layoff. May need a few to be his do-everything self again.

Manson and Lindholm returning for Anaheim is huge.
They don't have anywhere near the depth on defense to withstand losses like that.
Again...game shape for those guys, especially Monster Manson, before they are their usual selves.

Elias Pettersson out for longer may actually be a blessing in disguise for the Canucks (though fantasy owners aren't gonna think so)
How so?
With Pettersson, almost all their offense ran through him, especially on the PP, and were pretty much a void offensively, despite his talents.
Without him, the team has been FORCED to play more cohesively, and they have actually played better both offensively and defensively since Pettersson went down.

When he returns, the team should have had a good enough taste of winning to where, if they are smart, they continue to do what they are doing, and Pettersson adjusts to THEM, not the other way around, and he gets with the program and adds on to what they are doing rather than the team waiting on "Pettersson to get them going".

Buffalo was already a disaster with Eichel in the lineup.
Without him, not only will they be a worse team, but rumors will continue to swirl about this that and the other, further distracting the team, and maybe even causing others (cough, Ristolainen...COUGH), to start chirping about wanting out.
