  1. Especially since he was participating in everything leading up to camp, and has been skating/shooting on his own. It's just weird.
  2. With luck this is the last time we'll see Stewart and Andreoff. They have not been good.
  3. One of the issues with the structure of the organization is that the Phantoms and the Flyers don't play the same system. Boston does, and you can see it. Everyone does the same thing, regardless of the level where they spend most of their time.
  4. Not quite, it's just if they waive him within 30 days, the Flyers could claim him back and assign him directly to the AHL (assuming they are the winning claim).
  5. I have a Hagg they can have, but only if they promise to trade him within our division later.
  6. Lazy reach by NAK when he should have just gone for his change leads to a pass up the middle. Bad gap control by Niskanen and Myers lets two forwards up the middle with the puck and a goal.
  7. Andreoff is really noticeable. In the worst possible way.
  8. To follow on, looking at their sophomore seasons, Chabot's offensive metrics are better than Provorov's, while his defensive metrics are worse, but some not by very much. I'd need someone smarter than me to parse it out. Like this:
  9. Smarter people than I who have watched Chabot since Juniors think he is worth that contract, so I don't know. I honestly don't think I've watched an Ottawa game since he broke into the league, so I have nothing to base it on.
  10. Chabot's a good young defender. You do have to consider where he played, and who he played with when evaluating his point totals, as well. It really makes evaluating this deal tough, considering the trainwreck that organization has been over the past few years. Is that point total depresed due to the poor supporting cast? Or is it inflated since he's getting all of the choice minutes that he wouldn't get with a more talented roster?
  11. Rubtsov in again, certainly seems to be making a case for one of the open spots. No Stewart is good. Ghost Myers is interesting, seemed like they wanted Ghost-Braun by how camp went earlier.
  12. Giroux, Couturier, Frost, Provorov, Niskanen, and Ghost all in tonight.
  13. So since I can't watch, I'm watching the Leafs play the Sens. Marner skating around, goes from the blueline back down below his own net, comes out, and casually loses the puck right up the middle for Ottawa to get the go-ahead goal. I know it's pre-season, but it made me smile. Don't tell my wife.
  14. I've been wondering about that, myself. With Giroux up at the same time, will we essentially see a flip of what they're making, assuming Giroux slows down and wants to stay a Flyer?
  15. Saad was a serious OS candidate. Hawks were capped out before free agency even started, so they moved him rather than risk losing him to an offer sheet that could have been very low on the compensation scale.
