First off I agree with Howie on allowing the two new "D" a little slack,they both have a pretty good idea of what is expected of them. This team still lacks snarl as a group,they need to come out swinging and get a quick goal.Flyers in the other teams crease area is still in development???? Maybe as an experiment the Flyer's coaches should go to the press box and let the Zamboni driver mind the bench against the Islanders. Couldn't be much worse,could it????

When you give the first goal at 1:22 into the game it give you that Oh-Oh feeling for the 34th time!

If Bryzo would/could do his job(51 mil) the guys could concentrate on more offense and a little less defense.

JVR's main problem here is Lavi! JVR has one of the hardest slapshots in the league,when is the last time you saw him use it,his blazing wrist shot,his skating speed? Lavi needs to let the guys do what they do best at! Bryzo:"The Rubik's Cube of the NHL". Good luck with that one.

This is for all you JVR haters. If JVR is so bad ,why is it all the other teams want him?How come they never ask for the goalies? They always offer their players who didn't live up to their rep. Schenn,Brown,Nash,etc. Homer looks like a idiot every game when the other teams second string goalie kills the Flyers,while Bryzo&Bobbo are handing out Christmas gifts. People seem to be losing track of the of the real problems here. Especially Homer!

All the commentators and PR people really like old Braydon. What do they know that we don't?

Bryzo is always the prime reason the Flyers lose. Bryzo inhibits their ability to go full tilt on offense,due to his total imcompetence in net. Hockey is a game of chance and risk like all sports Bryzo squashes all that.

Has everybody here forgotten about the goalie problem ? Thats the first place hamer has to fix!

In my opinion Bryzo should have had both goals scored. How can a team concentrate on scoring,when they have to pick up the slack for an incompetent goal tender. The goaltender is supposed to be the Top Defenseman! Time for Homer to "Bite the Bullet" pronto!

Lavi:Too little too late!

Its tough for the team to give a 110% effort, when you have constant minus in goal, it forces the rest of the team to compromise their game. Until the goalie situation is resolved,what you saw tonight is it.

John LeClair is a lot bigger than most on the present Flyer's team,he got constantly beat on,checked every way possible, I never saw him return the favor,but he still scored fifty goals a season three times.

Has anybody considered Nash may be another Bryzo when exposed to he light? Whats going on withh all the rookies?

Jagr's goal last night was great.Playing with Briere ls more like in a high quality offense. Jagr shouldn't be baby sitting Giroux and Hartnell, he is the HOFer. As far as JVR goes,nobody on this team can keep up with him,Simmonds barely made it to the net last night and you may remember JVR and Simmonds did the same thing at the end of the Pens game on saturday. Lavi doesn't take advantage of individual player skills. Remember JVR's first and only shootout? This is his third season. Danny and Jagr scored the OT goal based on Lavi's system? It appears Lavi is becoming more of the problem,instead of the solution.

From what little bit I know about Toronto's Schenn,the reason he is available,Burkie is not happy with his performance,Wilson has reduced his playing time,just not doing too well.Homer acquiring two guys with later round picks is the way to go.Both of these guys have a track record,not quite the crap shoot Schenn would be. There still that nagging problem with goal tending:Now what Homer?

Shanahan should just keep his day job at the landfill,with Swinkie and the guys. Stick with what you do best bungster!

All you have to consider is the goalie(Smith) that replaced Bryzo in Phoenix. Homer is probably singing"Ya wonder where the money went"! If Homer doesn't do something soon we'll all have nervous breakdown. Completely off the subject,does this site have spell check?

This team needs Rick Nash Like Homer needs a bicycle!

I was just taking a look at the NHL site and checked out suspensions:The Wild's Warren Peters gets a for a one game suspension for a vicious cross check! I watched the tape and I'm not quite sure where the cross check is. Comparing this with Staal's cross check of Braydon Coburn,it looking Shanahan has developed a serious percepual disorder. If the NHL wants make it in the "Big Leagues" they had better start selecting a more professional,objective staff. Their method using "Old Hockey Guys" for administrative management is antiquated,stupid,and anti-NHL. Ed Snider and Comcast is trying to put the NHL on the map,they bought a major TV network,hold the NHL's hand,trying to guide them away from the past and into a bright future.The way NHL handles disicipline is so inconsistent,it resembles a third world a soccer league. On another note how did everybody like three games on NBC sunday?If you have to have day games,thats the way to do it.

It seems most NHL,NFL,teams still don't take concussions seriously.Players are encouraged to suck it up for the team. Homer wants these guys on the ice ASAP following any injuries.
