I was going to start a similar thread. I agree! Something is up. First of all most do not see a doctor and have tests done when they first come down with a virus, unless he has symptoms for a few days. Sort of makes you wonder if he is having some type of vision problem.
  4. For anyone who has some time for a light read; http://forums.philly.com/discussions/Flyers_Forum/_/_/kr-flyers/85080.1?nav=messages I noticed aziz you mentioned bob is getting a game a week ......... Hmmmm that surely gives him more than 15 starts. Just sayin. Sure looks as if bob is being given a chance to prove himself.
  5. I agree. One of the reasons for the poor GAA for both goaltenders is due to the fact that the flyers have taken the most penalties in the NHL. Most of their penalties are stick-related and lazy penalties – hooking, tripping, interference. All avoidable penalties. Some of these penalties have often come at the most in opportune moments of a game, giving he goaltenders a poor shot at winning. The defensive coverage has been inconsistent. The d-pairs have changed in recent weeks because of injuries. All of the above factors in the play and inconsistancy of play around the net.
  6. I believe they said this will be on Dec 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 Lindros said there is still the possibility that Renberg could arrive for a short visit depending on if his schedule allows. Glad to see these two involved in flyers hockey again.
  7. 1. I would get rid of the guaranteed contracts with some restrictions. Maybe each contract has a minimum guaranteed length. Prior to the beginning of each season, teams can cut players not worthy or needed on their team. That player becomes a FA. Once the season starts the waiver process is In effect. 2. Allow some form of the luxury tax to apply for players over the age of 30. Meaning clubs can pay these players a higher fee to play on their team, but only 2/3 of their actual salary becomes a part of the cap if desired by the club. Clubs trying to stay near the cap floor can of course have the entire salary apply to the cap total. 3. Increase the team roster to 25 and increase the number if contracts to 56. 4. Injured players can retire with full payment of their contract that only affects the cap the year they were injured. However they may not return from retirement untill that original contract length has ended. ....to be continued
  8. Correct you did have woywitka. My bad. But digity's first post said playing in any league and yours didn't specify.
  9. Yes he is still playing. On April 7, 2011, Kapanen announced that he would be doing a comeback as a player in KalPa, playing on a two year contract. He, however, stepped down as the club's chief executive officer (CEO) and instead handed that role over to his brother Kimmo Kapanen.
  10. Cap Space Harry had to be sent down, to make room for Bourdon or Marshall so the team could dress 6 defensemen. Shelley would have to clear waivers, and there wasn't enough time to proceed with that process if Holmgren wanted. Harry went to Trenton on paper, basically. This was Nodl's first game back due to a knee injury.....his play was ok last night. Nodl is a defensive forward. Considering there were 10 players with a -1 last night, Nodl wasn't one of them.
  11. Ha, I wish I had him on all my fhl teams last night. I didn't watch the game, but good for him. Like him or not he is an elite player in the league and the NHL is better off with him healthy. Letang is having a great year as well. Talbot has been a great addition to the Flyers, I loved to dislike him as a Penguin for the same reason why I like him now. He quickly became part of the core to the Flyers success this season. Make sure you join all of us in the game chat room when the Flyers play the Penguins.
  12. All thanks go to Digityman, have no worries, this board is monitored. Rick lasted a bit over 4minutes before being banned. B)
  13. Patrick Thoresen Sammy Kapanen Jeff Woywitka I'll give a vote for Jeff Carter the face-off Beast. But my most missed player has probably been Justin Williams
  14. I just thought I'd try to help relieve you of your misery. He would likely be a good teammate for Letang. B)
  15. The Flyers are the most penalized team in the league thus far. Averaging over 17 minutes a game.
  16. lol, I'll bet your just real miserable. 2g,2a,4p, +3, 1ppp, gwg, and 14fo want to trade crosby for richards?
  17. Coburn has a kidney bruise and not allowed contact for a few days, and Pronger has a virus. http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/flyers-talk/post/Pronger-ill-Coburn-has-kidney-bruise?blockID=598300&feedID=6572

  19. Very Nice! Photos on the flyers website.
  20. “He was so cute holding that sign,” said Bryzgalov, motioning and imitating “Boo Bryzgalov.” lol
  21. Jagr back skating and taking shots today. Tomorrow's game is still questionable. I actually hope he takes a couple more days off to make sure he is completely healed.
  22. Yeah perfect timing with versus. Do they really need a boost in ratings? Or maybe he's back because Philly is in first place in the East!
  23. yeah, Z will most likely sent down first. But I don't think there is enough cap space though to carry a 7th -dman and schenn without removing Shelley unless Rinaldo goes to the phantoms as well.
  24. I think his statement needs to be kept in context also. He made the statement while the talk of the town was that the Coyotes might move to Winnipeg, and ashe was looking forward to becoming a FA. I think he was really saying is that he had no plans to stay a Coyote.
