  1. So right now , nobody is picking the Flyers OR the Bruins to win Cup. Good news indeed.
  2. Um, our home record is worse than our road record, we have lost 6 of the last 7 and we are now in 6th place and one point out of 7th. Oh yeah, things are looking up!
  3. Hahaha! Was about to post the same thing. Either English is Mad Dog's fourth language or he is a full bottle deep trying to post something intelligible.
  4. This aint good. Our defensive additions have done nothing. Lost 6 of the last 7. Goaltending maybe a little better but nothing to show for it. The ship is taking on water and most likely will gurgle its last breath in the first round of the playoffs if they are lucky enough to get that far. Looking for positives but coming up empty. Where is that guy who said the Flyers could go 22-5 to end the season? I rightfully laughed at him then but need his optimism now.
  5. Agreed. 2 recent good efforts by Bryz wasted by an offense that can't score one freaking goal. Why can't Bryz have his dud games when the forwards put up 6 and his good games when the offense scores at least 1!
  6. I think it is the most difficult division in the league but all the media seems to think that the Central division is. Sure, the Central has some good teams, but they also have an easier schedule, thus easier to acquire points.
  7. Like Bryz saying "I am not ***, I just like anal sex with men." Edit: You can't say "g a y" on this forum?? Discrimination!!!
  8. fixed the links for you.... http://www.youtube.c...bed/1IfusDp0a3o http://www.youtube.c...bed/oxf2nQ9vx_o http://www.youtube.c...bed/ciOZcA6b_Lk Talbot killed it on the karaoke dance machine!!
  9. From this and other posts you have made it is clear that you are Russian and defending your fellow countryman, which is fine, but don't expect the rest of us to buy into that crap.
  10. So if Pronger's career really is over (which would be sad and I feel really bad for him but probably would be the best thing if he is to have any semblance of a normal life watching his kids grow up) can the Flyers keep him on LTIR for rest of his contract term so his salary isnt a cap hit? If so, that clears up plenty of money for another #1 D. (Weber? Suter? other?)
  11. to take on Bryz's ludicrous contract?? All this trade talk and wishful thinking that someone like Columbus would take Bryz off our hands but how could anyone want him for what he has displayed this year and the weight that contract carries?? What am I missing here?
  12. I see your point. I guess I am just extremely discouraged right now. This team just seems to have lost all its mojo and once you lose it, it is pretty tough to get back. Any confidence they develop is bound to be very fragile, and rightfully so as they know they can never rely on their goalie to win a game for them.
  13. Agreed. See my post about "Lavi's system is not working."
  14. They dont need to go on a winning streak. If the the Flyers continue this play, they just need to play better than 500 hockey to over take us.
  15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I have changed my mind. I dont think this team is going to make the playoffs.
  17. @ BOI "He appears disinterested, non-chalant, lacksidasical, and defeated." I agree with this, but those are attitude traits. I am also talking about a lack of fundamental skills of being a NHL goalie. We were duped. Unfortunately, BOB is playing much better. Once again, goaltending (along with poor D) is our demise. We can maybe fix the D problem next year but our goaltending could cause us a shot at a cup over the next several years when we may have all of the other pieces in place.
  18. I just don't think he is going to "find his game". I think his "talent" was smoke and mirrors deception from a defensive system in Phoenix. He has serious fundamental flaws that are not going to be easily corrected. Even worse is we will never be able to get rid of him and his presence could actually cost this team a shot at a championship over the next few years. Sigh.
  19. I would trade Briere for the girl in your avatar. Seriously though, I would think the Flyers brass would consider that kind of trade but no way Danny waives his NMC to move his family all the way across the country.
  20. Indeed, very concise. Was hoping for a little more substance though.
  21. Ok, 4 losses in a row now and the bulk of the remaining schedule against conference and division teams. Do the Flyers even make the playoffs? I say yes by the skin of their teeth and slide in with the 7th or 8th seed and then lose in the first round to Boston or NY. Hope I am wrong but I think this is even a somewhat optimistic outlook at this point.
  22. Anyone else think it is time for our coach to recognize that his run and gun system is not working and will get us no where in the long run? I like Lavi and dont think we necessarily need a coaching change but maybe it is time he wakes up and recognizes his own short comings in the style of play he is trying to implement with the team that he has. It seems like he is trying to force a square peg in a round hole and the good teams in the league just pick us apart. This is not a Stanley Cup team this year for sure, but maybe if he starts to tweak and make changes now they can get it right by next year with a better and more experienced roster.
  23. Unbelievably easy schedule? What am I missing here? Most of the Flyers remaining games are against conference rivals either in a playoff spot or in the hunt for the playoffs. With the inconsistent play that they have been demonstrating recently I am just hoping that they go .500 for the rest of season and make the playoffs which is by no means a guarantee at this point.
  24. Yeah, maybe a little tweak here or there but nothing significant is what I am thinking. I am pleased with how the young kids are playing and dont want to trade any of them away unless we are talking about someone in the caliber of Sestito or Shelley. You can always find another tough guy but not too many teams are looking for an enforcer come playoff time. (Not that Shelley should be considered an enforcer. His biggest threat is bleeding on someone so that they have to miss a shift changing a jersey.)
  25. Should the Flyers make any significant moves before the trade deadline? I am kind of on the fence on this as we clearly need another top d-man but concerned at what that would cost us. I am kind of thinking they should, for once, stand pat and not give up any of their talented youth or draft picks this year and let this team gel the rest of the year. Hopefully they make the playoffs and get the young kids some playoff experience and then next year we should be getting Pronger back and some of the younger d-men will have a little more experience under their belt. Who knows, if Bryz or Bob suddenly find their game come playoff time this team could make a decent little run but I am not holding my breath and certainly dont think this team can beat either Boston or New York in a 7 game series this year. And let's face it Bryz really can not play any worse than he has this year. As Howie put it, is it a lost season or a lost career? Hopefully he has a rebound year next season and we make a run in the playoffs with some confidence in our goalie. God wouldnt that be refreshing! Any thoughts on the trade deadline?
