  1. am i the only one that has problem viewing video from Flyers.nhl.com? Yesterday i was unable to watch golf video and today is the same with Episode 3 teaser. i use win7 64-bit and Mozilla or Chrome browser Someone else having problems?
  2. You mean like he (Holmgren) signed" Ryan Suter There is no guarantee that Weber will choose us over 29 other teams. He did his best. I still think that statisticaly Predator matching offer-sheet this big gives us bigger chance then Weber hitting open market. Just look at Letang new contract.
  3. @AJgoal - thanks for updates!
  4. Tim Panaccio ‏@tpanotchCSN1h BTW: Meszaros said he has not been cleared to play yet and still has to undergo testing but feels good

I agree that he does not throw huge checks, but you can look at his stats and compare with someone else like MIke Richards (we all agree that he is a excellent on D) and you find some interesting info. Jeff was great skater and was so flawless on the ice makings things look like he does not put alot of effort. You may not like his brand of defense but it does not make him less effective

sometimes i wonder if i am not on a Flyers section @jammer2 - Jeff Carter was and is exellent on defense. If you look at his stats he has a little more PK time in LA than Mike Richars last season, with a biger Corsi. In the playoffs Richards get the nod. Carter has finished his 4 on 5 shifts on offensive zone much more than Richards here and in LA.
  7. Giroux is mediocre defensively? OK, that was all i need to know before stop reading ....
  8. Just for information - Gagne was drafted as a center too.
  9. Or maybe at the start of the last year playoffs
  10. yeah Mason sucks! Prior his arival we had a clear shot at first overall draft pick, now we got only 11
  11. So far i also like what i saw from him playing behind our late season D group. He is fast, strong and he can play and shoot the puck. Also he can stop breakaways
  12. i mean that we can buy him out when he start to suck - in years 3 and 4
  13. Then we can buy him out. We are already veterans in this
  14. Schenn, Grossman and Coburn are sighned till 2016. Streit last year is 2017. Grossman will not recieve a rise after his contract will expire. Timo next year will free 6 mil. add Pronger's 5 mil. and we can aford 7 or 8 mil. for #1 defenseman. Mezaros will free 4 mil which can be used for Bourdon and Gus. Mat Walker will free another 1.7 mil this season. Hartnell and Simmonds are locked till 2019. Voracheck is till 2016. B. Schenn new contract will be with almost same cap hit as is recent Couts will recieve around 2-2.5 mil per year Do not see how Streit contract will hurt us. Also which of this year FA is better then Streit for our needs? There is no guarantee that Mason will work, but the same is for Bernier. In worst case scenario for Mason - we lose third round pick and next year go for FA goalie. Worst case wit Bernie - we lose forward and pick and next year we are also looking a goalie, but this year we are looking for 20-25 goal scorer and two-way player if we give Read or for great prospect if we gave Couts.
  15. Homer gave third round pick in 2015 and M.Leighton for Mason. Mason is just 4 month older that Bernier and played 4 times more games in NHL. Also Mason is the only goalie that was capable to lead Columbus to playoffs. Basicly we got him for nothing. So when the options are - Mason for third round pick and salary dump or Bernier for good roster player (Read) or top D forward (Couts) i will always go with Mason. Also Mason cap hit for next season will be 1,5 m. Homer get alot of hate here, even i do not like all of his moves but so far he was abble to address our main weaknesess from last season - Goalie and Puck moving defenceman basicly without lossing roster player or giving early draft pick.
  16. and just for fun - Michael Leighton has 3 shutouts in 16 playoff games for Flyers, just bellow 20%
  17. Bernier, 24, is eligible to become a restricted free agent but Bernier's agent Pat Brisson has already spoken with Leafs GM Dave Nonis and the two plan on engaging in contract talks this week. Bernier, who made US$1.525 million this season, is eligible to become a restricted free agent, but Nonis believes signing the 24-year-old from Laval, Que., won't be an issue. Those are from TSN, so there is still no contract
  18. @aziz To me Bernier is exactly what Mason is - athletic and quick. With Mason having more experience. Of course for Bernier playing on the same team with Quick was hard to become regular starter. I am OK with giving something similar to what Toronto did, but giving Couts away is to much for me.
  19. OK - Couts is slow. I agree. But he still manages to score a hat-trick in playoffs only 19 years old. Also he starts 68% of his starts are in defensive zone, but he finished 44.7% of his shifts in offensive zone. And Flyers actually had more shot attempts and shots on goal than their opponents in Couturier's shifts. All this playing mostly with Knuble and Talbot and usually against other teams top line. He is 20 years old and already is our best defensive forward.
  20. Sorry, but are we talking about this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_Bernier How exactly a unproven goaltender deserve so much credit?
  21. I see this way - since the Flyers cannot make the playoffs, they do not need a point per game playoff performer Anyway he was great player and i will miss him. Best of luck Danny!
  22. Yeah the same person told Jeff Carter that we will count on him for the lenght of his contract just 2 weeks before he was traded to LA
  23. Actually as i see it he could easilly get 7.5 mil for a over 5 year deal. It is just like the market is this days
  24. You mean like goons do to send a message - do not *** with our star just kidding
  25. i clearly saw Malkin trowing punches. As for the goons only rule, then they should changed it. Right now as far as i know says every player, not every goon
