Yes, several articles I've read stated it was at the base of the tongue and there is a very high cure rate. So at least that part is good news...
But like I told Stephanie - I am loathe for people who say things like "It's a good cancer to have" GRRR! - NO Cancer is good to have.
People tell me that all the time when they find out I have prostate cancer (Oh, at least if you have cancer - that's a good one to have") HUH??? ... it makes me want to slap them (but I realize people don't know what to say)
Anyway I heard back - she appreciates the prayers.

That write -up was insane Good Job MNSOTA
I'm actually going to be IN the building tonight instead of selling out in Rice Park. As a Christmas gift, the boss gave me a seat in row 4 and said to have fun.
As is my custom - (to honour the opponent) - I'll be sporting my 1984 Campbell Conference #11 MESSIER sweater.Should be a good time. I've never seen McDavid live and in person (Draisaitl either for that matter).- 2

All the best for him and his family.
Speaking of - His daughter, Stephanie is a friend of mine - I've reached out but have not heard back yet - I am sure they are processing just yet...But it sounds like from the Gazette story that it is at the base of his tongue and has a good cure rate. (Maybe the same info as in @IllaZilla link from the Mill City Fishwrap (But I can read that one - I'm all out of freebies)
On another side note - Pointu is a hockey hero of mine as a member of the Flying Frenchmen's "Big Three" With Savard and Robinson...I have all three of their signatures on an old Northstars program - as a Grubby little urchin I waited outside at the Met (My real aim was to get Henri Richard and Ken Dryden's autographs...which I also got)
Blessing to Pointu as he begins the battle

(shrugs) Right thing to do? Just to give Stalock some rest. But sure...play some of the kids. You'd almost think they'd want to wait for Koivu to be healthy to give him a tribute, but they must be desperate to sell some tickets for this game.
Exactly - it's like a ghost town out there (in the *&^%ing cold ) before games - no one is buying - pretty soon they are gonna need giveaways every night...Minnesotans love giveaways

We went to Midway last night.
I saw that Friday - really good but not as good as the original. Sadly, many of those great warbirds are gone now - so a lot of computer-generated flying. The original had all real birds

I had predicted Kinkaid's glove stop on Zucker would be a SportsCentre Top-10. Just watched during my workout and yup...#4. After all, ESPN would never pick hockey higher than #3 what with their MLB, NBA and NFL contracts.

So Antti.....was Price playing injured last season when the Wild lit him up or is this just a sign of how even more we've slid in any sort of offensive ability?
As much as I'd love to say he was not himself...I've always been honest about my team. I think it's one of those unexplainable deals...one the has your number?

I have to drive to Grand Forks tomorrow so I have to take it easy. Otherwise this team would have me into my Sailor Jerry...
Dude!!! You are my new best friend! I'm a pirate by nature, so Sailor Jerry is my poison! Last week one of the liquor stores in my town sadly closed. But before that they sold everything at cost! I got four bottles of SJ for a song!

Listening to the French feed. They are calling the Wild keeper "Stay-locked"

So...here I am with Dish Network and have no local broadcast. Naturally my Montreal channel via Centre Ice will be dark because they assume I have a "local" feed. This sucks.
Can anyone provide (at game time) a link to a live stream? If not...I'll be "forced" to go to a bar.
Thanks in advance.

Sad news indeed. RIP in Danny Grant. He was originally a Montreal player right?
Yup....but only played 23 games with them before coming to Minny and winning the Calder
My first Northstar card of him from '68 says he is a Northstar but he is clad in the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge...which meant I immediately liked him best... Well he and Gump and Cesare

Poorly written on my part @IllaZilla! I didn't mean *YOU* said it's a good cancer - I am just saying that as a blanket statement
