  1. Do really think Dewar would have gotten more than 1.2mil? I just think he should have been able to get more for a rfa player. I guess the return on Duhaime should be considered the robbery of the deadline trades.
  2. What the H was BG thinking giving Dewar away for a 4th?
  3. Not sure if Billy G is done but a 3rd for Duhaime a prospect for Marroon and a swap for Petan. Considering Jason Zucker garnered a 6th round pick BG robbed Colorado. Marroon was going nowhere and injured so that he got something for him is a win. Petan eh?
  4. But this year was a perfect situation to tank for 1 year with the injury thing being an excuse for the fan base. They could have started the revolving door of call ups to stay near the bottom when it became clear 2 weeks ago that this team, this year is going nowhere. I would have to say that this year was Bill Guerin's worst year as GM. The needless NMC's, the human resource issues, and the insistence that this team is a contender when it clearly is not.
  5. It will be interesting to see where the Wild draft in comparison to the Penguins. Before last night's games the teams were in opposite positions from today. It appears the Pens have come to grips with reality and realize they are not going anywhere but down. While the Wild appear to still be a little delusional about the playoffs. Will the Wild end up picking in the teens and the Pens in single digits?
  6. His face-off prowess would surely fit.
  7. And now my wife is really happy, tied up.
  8. At least now my wife is happy, they scored
  9. If Guerin trades anyone I would hope it would be someone they don't see as being in the plans for next year anyway. Merrill has been shown to be replaceable. Duhaime can be replaced. Do they have a replacement for Dewar? Can they re-sign Bogosian? Can they trade an injured Marroon to team on his trade list? Other than that who can they trade?
  10. I just think they rely on it too much, too predictable. With the man advantage and everyone clogging up the blue line they could dump into a corner and Out man the defense.
  11. Tough break. EEK with a he'll of a tip play.
  12. On the positive side I think they are 4 points above a top 6 draft
  13. Too bad on your 1st game. Last night I think was the last straw for playoffs.
  14. Zuccarello and Johansson out tonight, Gaudreau in.
  15. I don’t like watching losing either, but if playing some guys more to find out if you really want them in your future makes you lose and improves your chance at moving up in the draft, I can tolerate it. How much would a top 6 draft pick help this team 2 years from now?
  16. At least this game will give us a chance to watch some former Wild players. As far as playoff potential, I think that boat has sailed. May as well play well and lose. Absolute equal ice time, draw a penalty start the power play, take a penalty your line has to kill it.

  18. Saw a YouTube short with Mids and freedman, then heard something about Boston wanting him
  19. The Wild are a "good" team, just not a very good team or a cup contending team. Just mediocre good. That's what you get by drafting in the middle for 20 years.
  20. Heard reports of Middleton rumors. I guess nobody wants Merrill. Still don't understand why Mermis is Scratched.
