That's insane! Does any other team have even remotely as "good" record as that?
To be honest, at that time it made sense to keep 3 of those.

The Wild have officially salvaged their future!
And officially, hopefully, this is the end of all the very deserved Parise and Suter bashing for life.
Good riddance...

Still here, sunshine!
Crazy to think scratching Parise was crazy.

I'd rather say too long. 5 years should've been enough. He's no 1st line center.

I think Marc Andre Fleury should retire. He lost alot of his ability which wasn't much.
Looks like MAF wanted to prove a point this season? He's playing lights out.

The referees are idjits. Kucherov getting called for interference when shoved to Driedger from close range. More likely they should've awarded a penalty shot. WTF...

Johansson have got an injury last night - broken arm.
Here is an article from hockeywilderness about possible changes in the team for next games:
Honestly, is that a loss? He's been MIA like the whole season.

Congratulations Wild - an amazing result!
Record for hits, stupendous games from Talbot...
Parise out. Word: finally. Another word: let him continue to feel cosy in the stands.

Wow can't believe we won 10 faceoffs.
Yeah but you can believe the shots were 19-5 against.
Talbot's jock straps will be helluva sweaty until the fat gender neutral whatever has sung.

Just saw the highlights. That was worse than Kuemper's worst. My first reaction is the fear that do we have a good enough backup goalie next season, or do we have to trade for a stop-gap. I'm baffled. When the Blues scored 9 goal against him, 6 or 7 went in stickside. The goalie coach attached a cord to his stick to let him relearn the correct position. And now everything goes in. High or low, stick or glove side, no matter.
It's not entirely on Kahk of course, but it certainly makes me miss some red hot competition for the backup goalie spot from the prospect pool.
Evason is a moron. He's handled the goalie situation badly.
First he cemented Kahkonen in the bench when he was red hot. Now after a good period Talbot is back to his old sieve self when he clearly should not have been taking this many starts.
Sorry but the Wild will exit the 1st round with no explanations needed. When you're phucked up in the net, the whole team will be phucked up in the playoffs.

This is a brutal game to watch, just mindless passing.
Well, little better though than watching the Flyers play.
-
Too fast pace =too little idea of what to do.
Still little more than what the Flyers have at the moment...
-
Stick a fork in him, he's done as a 1, 2 and 3rd liner.
-
Evason is a complete moron.
First, he lets Kahkonen to play once a week. (mistake)
Then, he lefts him hung out to dry when the team in front of him sucks. (mistake)
Any better way to kill your top prospect's game fit and confidence? And just little over a month ago he was on his way to break all kinds of records.
Incompetent coaching.

Another game where they want to **** up Kahkonen's development?

Why is he now in the dog house?

*Whew* Very solid 3rd by everyone.
Turned out to be a good win.I'm not sure... 11 SOG? Is that a record for the lowest amount of SOG by any team?
Sounds like the Wild were horribly outplayed.

I'd leave him out but looks like a 50/50 case.

Ugh, the Flyers' goalie situation is a nightmare. Now Sorokin >> Hart and it wasn't even close. Hart is such an overrated goalie, but what can you do when an over-the-hill Elliott is your backup.
I wonder what's wrong with the whole team too. First the Rangers beat the hell out of them, now the Islanders too. Has Fletch built a team with zero future in sight?
Gd, what a nightmare for the Flyers' fans too.

He and LaPanta talked about it a lot in their latest Worst Seats in the House podcast. Bell Arena off-ice officials call all kinds of BS shots as actual shots to inflate Colorado's shot totals by 10-15% each game.
This time it went vice versa, IMO.
-
Wild 31 SOGs... oh come on! How the hell they managed to work it out like that? So badly outplayed.

Trying to imagine the X's announcer..."it's time for some X-Cel Energy BOOOOOBERY"
I am. That makes me think of Kate Upton.
Time for some laundry again. Will you excuse me for a moment, thanks...

I wonder what Parise is thinking. Does he really enjoy being a sideshow bob on ice yet getting handsomely paid? Could the situation embarrass him? He must realize time has passed him or is he still in denial phase?
Wouldn't surprise me if he decided to call it a day instead playing through his current contract.
@CreaseAndAssist, interested in making a blog entry / a lengthy writeup of Parise's situtation?

They want to go to a true or likely contender now, not to a possible contender in maybe 3 years.
