I hope Pronger chooses to see things as that he is not messing with his immediate life but his long term life in he quest to recover from these concussions. My thoughts are that the Flyers need to start signing some of the Phantoms that they never intend to call up to AHL only contracts. If the need does arise that they really do need that player then sign him to a NHL contract example Kris Kolanos with the Flames. Remember this guy? He got a shot this year and is currently on the Flames roster. Until the Flames needed him he was on an AHL only on the Heat. Played in the AHL all star game. Has really proven himself this year as being worthy for a spot. I feel if the Flyers did more of this approach that they would one have contract numbers space and two encourage players to work to get to that next level. Just a thought.

So my question is how long til Bryz asks to be moved from Philly because fans have run him out of town? Things will not get easier for Bryz only harder unless he changes his presentation or wins.

The headline for this discussion was exactly what I thought when I saw Gill was traded. I don't know what it means but I agree that Grossman gives the Flyers back depth and makes them in a stronger position to go after another D man.

Wasn't I just saying that we need a new system in a goalie thread? I agree with many points in this discussion we have the forwards to do the system and the D is passible. I will agree that the leadership absolutely is missing with this club. With the idea that Pronger is probably done for his career to me the trade deadline need of the Flyers is leadership. If the leader happens to be a stud D Man too well then I will take it. Loosing to conference opponets leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Even more so because I do not know if you all looked at the March schedule its crowded with in Conference and in division games. If the Flyers can not beat these teams now and in the future there is no playoffs this year for them.

I think the Flames proved they were buyers with the Cammalleri trade.

Yup Clarke is on Record with his goaltending Philosophy. I agree teams have recently won the cup with passable goaltending. The difference on those team defense and the system. Which is why I was asking who the next coach would be. New System = New Coach.

Shelley provides an intangible presence in the locker room and with Pronger and Briere gone that is why Shelley is still with us. I like Sestito and Harry Z. It will be interesting to see how/if they progress.

Goal has always been the Flyers weak point. Clarke's philosphy thanks to a conversation with former Red Team goaltender Tretiak was that you didn't need superstar goaltending to win championships. I think in the last few years you can see a change in that philosophy. One making Neil Little goaltending scout and two the replacing of Reggie as goaltending coach to me shows a new found committment to the goaltending position. I feel Bryz is a victum of one a system change (phoenix is showing it was the system not entirely the goalie) and two the white hot spotlight of Philadelphia Media and fan base. He did not have this same level of pressure in Phoenix. I do not think Bryz is capabile of filtering out the noise. The Flyers went out an went the superstar goalie route and well its not panning out to be what the fan base was anticipating. I don't think that it is solely the goalie's fault. Missing key cogs in Pronger and Briere I feel really hurts this team. I am interested to see how Holmgren goes about filling those voids should neither be able to return. Even year coach right? Who would you pick as the next coach of the Flyers? Or if need be the next GM? I don't see Holmgren getting the same passes that Clarke got to have the job for life.

Yup I had the light blue price for the classic $79 tix and the orange level for the Alumni & Phantoms total for two tix was $320. My share $160 I felt really fortunate that I am going. I am more excited for the alumni and Phantoms game then the classic itself.

Wow those prices are crazy I paid $160 for all 3 games including fees. I am lower level for all 3 games. The 400 level seats were the most expensive and 100 level were the cheapest. I am happy to be going and I don't care how much I see or don't see. There will be pictures of whatever I can see.

Yeah Carter injured again. You have to wonder if they forsaw Carter becoming another Gagne scenario and decided that it would be better to part ways before they were locked in.
