Anybody else think that the Florida Panthers are a possible playoff contender this year? They looked good last night vs the Leafs and are sitting pretty in 1st place in the Southeast Division. Check out the article and let me know your thoughts:

I say deal Gragnani somewhere for some draft picks. He just isn't what he was at the end of last season. McNabb is ready for the big time; it would be a shame to have to send him back down when he is producing better then the "$10 million mistake" Christian Ehrhoff.

After that hit Regehr had on Ovechkin last night, he may be my new favorite. Now if only all the Sabres would hit like that all of the time!

Yeah Luke Adam is a stud. I was psyched to see him make the team this year. He has potential to be another big play maker for the Sabres on the Pominville and Vanek level.

I've been most disappointed in Ehrhoff. Not worth a 10 year contract. He hasn't added enough to the offense or defense to justify that. I think he has caused more goals by allowing too many odd man rushes.

Most impressive has been Zack Kassian. He has put some points up on the board and has a physical presence that draws penalties. I do wish he would be a little more physical. I think Sabres fans have a lot of expectations for him to be our big hitter even more so then Kaleta.
