Really? Other than being a Yankees fan and handling his free agency like a bit of a tool, he seems decent enough. I don't follow the NBA very much (it is still called the NBA, right?) but he doesn't seem half the punk-*** wussy prima donna that Crosby is.

I was just addressing the "hated" thing. And to me, that free agency crap was a lot more than just being a tool. I wish him nothing but failure in his sporting life.

What was wrong the Vitale hit on Briere? Nothing per se, it was a clean check. It would also be the (size wise) equivalent of Shelley flattening Crosby. I think Pens land would be screaming for retribution too. Any fan of a team would.

And I don't buy the line of argument that Crosby does not dish out any more cheap stick work than he receives, but I've grown tired of that discussion and I'm sure you have too. Bring on round 1...

Flyers 6th and Bruin/Rag loss in round one does set up some intriguing possibilties for a run as you point out. No doubt I'd rather have the Panthers in round one, I guess I've just resigned myself to the injustice inherent in the seeding system....and that sliding back to the sixth would have the Flyers moving in the wrong direction going into the real season
