I was initially really pissed about the signing of Talbot. I never liked the guy. But he's won me over big time! This guy is a heart and soul guy who does whatever the team needs. You can never have enough heart in the room. Awesome signing by Homer. Add to our team and subtract from the enemy.

I honestly expected Jagr to be a point a game player when Philly signed him. He did it in the KHL so I was excited because I thought that he still had the skill to do it here as well. I have to admit that I never expected him to be such a team player and to play defensively like he has. His commitment to the game and this team is more than I was expecting. Turns out he's a point-a-game player who works out hard and wants to mentor our young superstar. That's a bargain at a little over 3 million.

Carter has talent, but his hockey sense is lacking big time. Couturier has about the same level of talent AND he is a "smart" hockey player. As Pierre MacGuire would say "He gets it". Couturier will make everyone forget about Carter. Vorachek is also a nice bonus. As soon as Couturier slipped in the draft and the Flyers grabbed him, Homer won that trade.
