  1. My liver would want to question giving him a year contract The mind says give him a chance The gut says a shot might be interesting The kidneys just want to filter through players
  2. Grumbled when hearing he joined the Flyers, His father killed us on blue line goal on Hexy to beat us to the next round....but His father turned it on during Playoffs, if he inherited that DNA he can be a keeper if he wins us a round or two. All will be fine.
  3. I'd like to take a moment to thank Chuck Fletcher for his initial efforts in trying an aggressive retool; had Ellis worked out with Provy, Coots centering top line with Atkinson and TK, with Nolan Patrick centering the third line, Hayes centering the second line.........we culd of ben a cuntendah! My friend(in Muammar Gaddafi voice) you sold the farm and we need to send you to the ranch...
  4. Hey ChatGPT, who is the next GM? Is Briere gonna be GM at the start in 2023?
  5. We have to break this down into categories to be able to quantify this more. We need to see how he handles: Asset Management. Score: A/B/C/D/F Contract Acquisitions. Score: A/B/C/D/F Contract Management. Score: A/B/C/D/F Scouting Results. Score: A/B/C/D/F Player Fit. Score: A/B/C/D/F Spending Capitol Limits. Score: A/B/C/D/F Player Development. Score: A/B/C/D/F What GM has nailed the majority of these categories? What GM has the highest sustainable score? Does it at the end matter when you one year win a Championship. I think everyone here is in agreement, that we want to win a Championship.
  6. Corporate Accounts Dave speaking.....Just a moment....Comcast Accounts Fletcher speaking.....Just a moment....Xfinity Accounts ??? speaking.........Just a moment.....
  7. Before Snider left, I believe he set in play the next steps to ownership and concessions, Comcasts vassals unfortunately never did anything as productive as Snider's madmens cyclical patterns. We got now a bloated, overweight team run by Tony Little; seems like a workout, but doesn't "look" right visually. Fat Fit. Fletcher unfortunately gave out too many "sweets" Trick or Treat suckas
  8. I remember tossing my Millennium Falcon as a kid, to the same effect.....Fly Pelicans! Fly!
  9. In regards to those wondering if the players that don't buy in will stay....the answer from Torts is. lllllNo.llllll
  10. Maybe if Hextall stayed as GM and hired Torts to coach, I think they would of both ambushed the reporters at the hallway to the ice surface and give Mike Sielski a beatdown defending their players vehemently and stretch out their arm to hand tag-team each other on the bench, to hammer fist down on a players helmet, who was not putting forth the effort on the ice or grenade[-ing] a puck over the wall in a clear attempt.
  11. Though the one question that eludes me is that if on a Destroyer in the middle of the Artic Sea, the answer that escapes me is that if that said Destroyer laces out a laser beam across 10 football fields on target at a vessel or stationary object, how does the laser, bend to make up for the curvature of the surface of the earth? Unless satellite calculations are in play and there is some thermal recovery in measurements, how can it be seen accurately through a loupe? That is an interesting phenomenon at play. Go Flyers In Torts we Trust.... deed the team.
  12. So where does Chuck Fletcher hail from? Where is Winflyerstanleyville at? How many parsecs are we from winning?
  13. I would like to see this frozen wall you speak of, a map per se...maybe it will have Torts face on it, say... Mount Rushmore 2.0
  14. What ya mean? You don't believe in the flat earth? Look what Chuck Fletcher did to the Flyers, if there's any proof of a Flat Team, it's floating right in front of us, floating from land mass to land mass and ending up with the 7th or 9th overall pick. Sending out four year excursions to the end of his map, to fourth line players.
  15. Maybe not your market value but that is what the NHL Market value was for his worth. I don't agree with the amount but my feelings don't matter what facts say. I never quoted 16-17' I just stated his plan to put players in that time span. Hextall planned staying longer than his last year here, he put Sanheim, Patrick and Lindblom in the lineup so the following year they'd be better seasoned for the Playoffs the following year. Your sarcasm doesn't change the facts, even 1 game in a Playoff environment allows a young player to see the intensity it is and if they get to play a series, they see how much harder it is defensively and offensively to play against focused competition. Again another fact you want to ignore, with "your reality" doesn't change the facts. We were underbudget, and considered by NHL standards as having a solid young prospect pool in the system(whether it turned out to be true is another story) AND had room to go out and get some high ticket talent. "The exact reason" do you have some quotes on that, I wasn't around much so I'm wondering where this is coming from. Speculation? And the Gaudreau "theory?" The most ridiculous comment is such a true comment. "What are YOU gonna do about it?" C'est la vie....
  16. It sucks we're Five years away from being Five years away again, I just think with Hextall's plan, he was on a soft rebuild, so that if it failed we would of now been on our 2nd year of a full rebuild with him not as GM but having to go full draft picks and maybe getting top 3 picks with this year being one of them, with the knowledge we wouldn't be having a deep bottom six, like we are now with a sprinkle of bloated contracts and up against the Cap. If the shutdown didn't happen though back then, we had a high chance of being in the Finals with a shooter's chance of winning the Cup. Fletcher would of been celebrated along with Vigneault. Tomay-Toes/ Tomah-Toes = Messiah/Pariah Vegas said so. Vegas is Vegas.
