Me and my son in Buffalo last night after security confiscated my flagpole.

One of the games during tv time out is a chicken wing trying to decide if he should dip himself in Blue Cheese or Ranch and as the crowd cheers for one or the other the wing moves closer to the bowl of dip. Blue Cheese was the clear winner as it should be.

I put it in perspective and remembered the reason I was there is this was a gift from my youngest son who plays hockey and have been going to games with since he was 7 (he’s 21 now). Worse than the Flyers performance on the ice, which we both expected the worst part of the night was dealing with obnoxious Sabres fans. They suck. There were more Bills jerseys than Sabres jerseys in the crowd and they even played the Bills theme song Shout. Ugh. Also I think they showed their mascot on the Jumbotron once, (not like 3 hours of Gritty at Flyer games). I guess the big thing at Sabres games is if they show you on the scoreboard you have to chug a beer as long as the camera is on you. I guess being alcoholic is a requirement to follow a buffalo team between the Sabres fans doing their best Stone Cold Steve Austin impressions and the stupid Bills mafia.

Watching this team in person the last two Saturday’s confirms this team needs a major overhaul. Zero offensive creativity, zero confidence and absolute fear in their own zone. Every Flyer looked like they were going to piss themselves if the puck came to them in the D-zone. Whoever is in charge next year has to implement a no blind drop pass, no forcing cross ice passes and no ****** slingshot starts on the Powerless PP

Ugh, I love my son dearly but I am not looking forward to the Sabres playing the Phantoms tomorrow. Buffalo has at least been competitive while the Flyers, not so much. He got me the tickets as a birthday present so I can’t disappoint him. Happy Sabres fans may be more obnoxious than Philly fans, lol. Still debating the whole flag thing….

As I mentioned previously, as hard as the Flyers and Ellis have tried to keep his injury a secret the fact PB just threw it out there as a hip injury then tried to cover his blurb by saying LBI is hysterical. The fraternity of NHL players is pretty close knit so I believe Bissonette mentioned hip injury because he’s heard colleagues around the league talking about it or heard it from Ellis himself. I don’t think anyone that’s commented on this has lost their mind. We’re just saying, if it’s a hip, it may be tough to come back from and be effective at his age.

The Flyers medical staff has been miss treating injuries for years. I agree Ellis probably had to pass a physical and I also agree, McCrossin may have concluded Ellis’ physical after completing the “turn your head and cough” portion.

That’ll be Saturday night for me to see in person in Buffalo.

Oh, I have no doubt he was injured before Son of Cliff traded for him. The irony of this **** season: Flyers and Ellis tight lipped about his injury/issue and it gets revealed on national television by a career 4th line goon.
