Both of those look good to me. I like the first one alot. They aren't all black and they aren't boring either.

I do agree that all black would be boring. That is not what I want to see. I want to see some variation that has more black in it. Something different but not anything like the previous black jerseys. We already have orange and white jerseys. I think it would be cool to have something else as a third (alternate). Maybe you take the Giroux jersey that s3x posted and swap orange for black (and vice versa) and work some white piping in.

I would have rather seen them do a new take on the black jersey and then make that their alternate. To me this design seems a little out of place as the Flyers never wore anything like this. I won't outright say I don't like it. I think it will take some time to grow on me.

I went to Penn Stat and I am still proud of it. The education I got there was second to none. I think this whole Paterno fiasco has been completely mishandled and I think the board of trustees saw this as an opportunity to get rid of him (they have been trying since '04). No one actually knows what happened behind the scenes. On the surface Joe did do the right thing and flowed it up to his superiors. Why didn't he follow up? Who knows what he was told and what he actually knew? There is evidence that the center county DA knew about it and did nothing (why isn't this person dragged through the media?). I am embarrassed that PSU caved into media pressure and fired Paterno. I believe it was premature as we don't have all the facts yet. I do believe the case will get uglier for PSU. People should also remember what happened at Duke. The wrong people were villainized in that case as well and by the time the truth was revealed it was too late.

I don't think JVR is playing as well as he did in the post season last year, but I do think he looks alot better than he did this time last season. I think Simmonds has alot of upside but he seems to be in a funk lately as well. If you were going to bench someone for yesterday's game I would have benched him. He started the season with alot of grit and energy but the season is still young and he seems to have fizzled a bit.

Nowhere near enough to be benched. In general I think Lavy does a good job of getting his message across to players. He limited Hartnell's ice time and now he has been on a roll. I find this one a bit of a head scratcher, however.

I know there is alot of talk on this board (and the old one) about trading Schenn but I wouldn't do that unless we thought we were really close to a cup. No matter what the Flyers try spin on this season as, it is fairly obvious that this is a rebuilding year. Yes we may make a playoff run and we may get to the second round, but I do not see a cup this year. I would rather see them hold onto Schenn and see what he matures into a season or two from now.

Not bad! Someone had told me that Phantoms tickets were $70 at the lower end. If I can get similar prices I may go to both games! Is there a map of the stadium layout in relation to the rink anywhere? I just want to make sure I can actually see the game from where I end up sitting.

Hey everyone! I got an email inviting me to purchase tickets to the alumni and phantoms games at the WC. I was wondering if anyone on the board has purchased tickets to this yet? How much were they going for? I'm hoping to buy 4 tickets and I am leaning toward the alumni game.
