  1. I assume you are referring to the Flyers. I don't see anyone else hiring the guy either
  2. if he's so qualified, why hasn't he been hired as an NHL GM? are all the teams stupid, or just the Flyers?
  3. so is a knutless team, but the Flyers don't seem to care
  4. let's gut this team and do a rebuild, just don' trade anyone to do it. Ignore the fact that you have no cap space. I don't see the problem
  5. I dunno, seems like they are chock full of this type of player Somewhere in there, you need to find some badass offensive talent
  6. I certainly hope so. Otherwise your just telling any coach, hey the last guy couldn't do it, so it's your turn to try to win with this group. That means the ability to win or lose is all based on how good the coach is
  7. In regards to that, I will hold to my thought that key players have quit on the franchise. I believe there is a fracture within the locker room. If true, then it's most likely due to players not liking AV and his style. That is not something I would blame in him
  8. Biden is 6'0 158, same as Sanheim, but with more energy
  9. To this point, I put blame on AV. We have players who are allegedly edgy. He could encourage that style a little more
  10. AV had no problem calling out the veterans in public. The premise that he only targeted young guys, is inaccurate Firing him would once again, embolden the prima dona players
  11. Yes. Whats the average size of an elelphants penis?
  12. @GratefulFlyers Flat cap era, no cap space. You gotta pay to get. As I posted in an earlier thread, the only thing in that deal that can't be replaced is the unknown pick
  13. In all 3 of those places he had success, particularly Van and NY. He has been nominated for Jack Adam's award several times, winning once. This is not a guy who can't coach, or doesn't know what he's doing. Personally, I'm getting tired of players who whine and complain that coaches are too tough on them. These players want to make millions, gain fame and celebrity, and hopefully win various things. Well if you want that, be that! You are being paid to perform for your employer. If I went to work and whined about my supervisor and tried to demand he be replaced, I would probably be assigned to protect a telephone pole in the winter, on route 66
  14. @BobbyClarkeFan16 I'm not arguing against your POV. You could be spot on. From what i've read, and watched, i think there is a total break down within the locker room and players have checked out, or quit on the team. I think Voracek and JVR are most likely the focal point of the issue. By AV not being fired, the organization sent a message to the players that the coach won't be the fall guy. If major changes are made, it will solidify the way I feel (at least in my mind).
  15. to clarify, when you asked the question, I jumped to the 2019-2020 season. Reading back, maybe I misunderstood. Did you mean the season that just wrapped up?
  16. Absolutley! And I'm not alone. He was one of three finalists for the Jack Adams award. You don't get that by sucking. He had this team playing at a very high level, and was one of the hottest teams in the league prior to the shut down. After the shutdown, they took the first seed and won the first round of the playoffs. If you want to blame him for the Islander series, that's fine. I don't. I'm not sure how it can be said he did a bad job
  17. So what asset could be attached to JVR or Voracek to make it worth Seattle taking them? Im thinking NAK is gone otherwise, and I damn sure don't want that! My man OC would be devastated
  18. I was reading an article that suggested the Flyers might have to make a side deal with Seattle to ensure they take a big contract like JVR. Let's says its him. What side deal would make it work? Could this year's number one be an option, or is that too much? Or, is it even allowed?
