Bruins also sign Morgan Geekie. A solid bottom sixer who might be able to chip in scoring. But neither of those signings add speed to the Bruins.... Not a fan of the Geekie ink, but Looch is still a fan fav in Boston, and even though he'll be 3rd/4th line at best, he'll still be loved for his fist. See I am the opposite here. I get Lucic is still a legend in Boston, but I think Geekie will aid the bottom six much more than Lucic can. Also, while Geekie isn't anywhere near the pair of fists Lucic is, he is no pushover physically, and will drop them on occasion as well if he needs to. For me, Geekie > Lucic. I like the player for the Canes...not crazy about the AAV. 7.75?? That is number one, two way defenseman type money. No way is Orlov that. At around maybe 4-5M AAV, sure.
