 They'd have a pretty tough time winning 4 rounds of playoff hockey with their centers and D. Things are starting to come together, but they're still a few pieces away.

@rickturpin  Welcome, I don't know if you can attach anything meaningful by time elapsed since the last cup win. Just ask the Rangers, I'm betting the team and their fan base never thought they would go 50 years before winning.

Thanks.  Perhaps you are right but hockey is one of those games where anything is possible.

When the Leafs beat Detroit in 1993, I was certain they were going to win the cup, but they 

were robbed when they played LA.

 

Statistically speaking, it's time for the Leafs to win, but will they find the strength and the heart?

 

My only rule these days is expect the unexpected...that's why hockey is so exciting.

I tend to agree with you, unless of course, "hope" is meaningful.
