Interesting. Angus also rates this based upon trade value.  The ironic part of that is chances are we will see very few if any of this group of players traded.  Which then makes me wonder what is the point, but oh well.

Here is the list.  the number in parenthesis is his last year's ranking.

1. Sidney Crosby (1)
2. John Tavares (2)
3. Steven Stamkos (3)
4. Jonathan Toews (4)
5. Evgeni Malkin (10)
6. Drew Doughty (11)
7. Anze Kopitar (8)
8. Erik Karlsson (6)
9. Nathan MacKinnon (Not Ranked)

I guess players like Trouba and Jones are on the list because of their low salaries, but then players such as Brent Seabrook, Bobrovsky, and Giordano that missed the list and I'm not sure why.

@hf101  Ha!  I was scrolling down that list looking for Bob, did not see him and then read your post. Since other youngsters are there that are not proven (but obviously skilled and talented) are on there, the omission of Bob is front and center for me. When he stands on his head this year, they will be forced to not only include him, but bump somebody out of the top 20.

The whole list seems to actually discount the importance of goalies, first one appearing at #28.....wow that is harsh, they are much more important than that. You can't for one minute tell me Oliver Ekman Larsson, as good as he is, is more important than a young franchise goalie at the top of his game....odd.
