KHL Goalie loses His Mind

HC Urga goalie, Mikhail Biryukov, completely lost his mind after a 4-3 loss to CSKA on Monday. Biryukov faced 37 shots in the game and couldn't contain his emotions for more than half a second after the final buzzer. The best part of this freakout is that he tried (multiple times) to break his stick on the crossbar, but then just proceeds to throw it across the ice. Nice try, Mikhail.

Well, all I gotta say on Biryukov is "At least he seemed to care".

Seems pretty rampant, at least in the NHL, that Russian players don't seem to give much of a 'you know what' either way on losing games.

He could have pulled a Bryz and pondered the universal meanings of the loss.....he could have pulled an Ovechkin and said it was his team's fault for not scoring him a 4th goal and he was completely free n clear of any fault.....he could have pulled an Ilya Kovalchuk and just bolted for the German League...........

Anyways, if that show was frustration on the loss, then good for him.

Hopefully, his teammates give a damned too and play a bit better in front of him next time.

Oh, and whatever material those KHL guys use on their sticks, the NHL best look into them.

Damned fine craftsmanship if that stick won't break after being pounded like that.

Seems sticks in the NHL break if you try curving the blade just a bit.......

Whoever manufactured that stick should use that as their promotional video on their stick endurance quality.
