Andersen left his crease and came down the ice to challenge Niemi, not much happened with that but curious if Andersen will face discipline for coming all the way down the ice. Shanahan, the former dean of discipline stated that future goalie fights would result in discipline after Ray Emery cleaned Braden Holtby's clock last year. ''That's hockey, I guess,'' said San Jose's Adam Burish, who got a misconduct penalty for scrapping with Nate Thompson with 6:04 to play. ''It's a rivalry. It's two good teams that don't like each other, two elite teams, and those things can happen.'' In seperate incidents Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf were involved in fights in the third, Perry receiving a gross misconduct penalty even.
