hf101
Sad news. “The right side of his body is very, very weak. He’s unable to stand without help. He’s able to speak, but very, very difficult to speak.” The good news is that Gordie Howe still knows who he is and hasn’t forgotten the people around him. The family is trying to keep him comfortable in bed in light of his difficulty walking. He underwent spinal surgery over the summer, but he was in good shape before the stroke.http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/28/gordie-howe-suffered-pretty-bad-stroke/related/

yave1964
Reading the Red Wings feed, the Doctor said; 'I think this is his last time around the rink.' Very sad, Mr. Hockey is one of the classiest ambassadors in the history of the game.

jammer2
Very sad thing to report on fellow hockey lovers.....Gordie's health has taken another turn for the worse. Sounds like he is in quite a good deal of pain....at this point, I'm just praying to God he does not suffer for to long....hope he's taken very soon, gotta be tough on the family after seeing their Mom, Collen Howe pass a few years back. The family estimates that his latest stroke (approx 7 or 8 days ago) was his 9th or 10 so far...very sad to hear. http://blogs.windsorstar.com/sports/mr-hockeys-health-takes-turn-for-the-worse
