flyercanuck Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 @Podein25 The Gumper made a career out of shotgunning beer.
Podein25 Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 The Gumper made a career out of shotgunning beer. LOL, but during the play? Besides, back then beer was all just 4-5%. Nowadays, many of the beers are in the 7-8% range. I had one last night that was 9.75%! Ok, I had two three.
flyercanuck Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 @Podein25 Prior to play. Which is worse better.
Podein25 Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Prior to play. Which is worse better. I can't imagine playing goal hammered, but then I can't imagine playing any position under the influence of more than a single beer. One of the guys on our team has a martini before every game. Tradition. Seems to work for him, but not for me.
flyercanuck Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 @Podein25 Me neither. After the game, I'm all in. But I don't want even one before. The Gumper on the other hand... Reggie Leach. Many others in those days.
Podein25 Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Reggie Leach. He's got a book out! I missed this event, which was the same day that the Flyers were in town: http://www.mcnallyrobinson.com/event-14399/An-Afternoon-with-Reggie-Leach#.VlYT5flViko
flyercanuck Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 @Podein25 I heard them talking about it on Hockey Central a few weeks back....have to get around to reading it sometime.
AlaskaFlyerFan Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 @Podein25 Me neither. After the game, I'm all in. But I don't want even one before.Hockey costs too much for me to show up half in the bag and play like schiznit.
