hf101
Dustin Brown has reportedly been told he will no longer wear the "C," according to TSN's Frank Seravalli, the team is apparently wanting to go in a "different direction" with their captaincy. Brown lead his team to the franchise's first two Stanley Cup victories in 2012 and 2014, but his play has been in decline. The 31-year-old is still under contract with the Kings for 6 more years and owed over $35 million with a $5.875 million cap hit. Although at this time the Kings haven't confirmed that Brown is out, who do you think will be anointed, Captain? Both Kopitar and Greene currently wear the "A"s, but is this now Drew Doughty's team? JagerMeister
Completely irrelevant to the discussion here, but I just wanted to pay tribute by posting his best moment as captain.

I would give it to Kopitar or Doughty maybe let the team vote. It worked in San Jose. I'm not sure if this would make Brown mad or not but his contract might be hard to move if he wants out. He has been on the quick downswing in production for a while now. He has been a 20 goal scorer since 2011-12. I mean honestly he has put up 4th line stats in the last 2 years that is not a lot of return on 5.8 mill for the next 5 or 6 years. YIKES!!!!!!!
