WingNut722
NHL.com reports the Panthers have acquired the rights to Keith Yandle, and have offered him a seven year contract worth an average of $6.35 MM per year. If this goes through, it would take one of the biggest free agents of the season off the market a week before the July 1 opening. And it only cost the Panthers a couple later round draft picks. DaGreatGazoo
Check this one out: Rumbling: FLA preparing eight-year, $60M-ish extension for Aaron Ekblad. He can sign any time after July 1. Team and agent decline comment.

WingNut722
Yandle and Ekblad? That's a lot of money locked up real quick.

Personally, I think Yandle is one of the most overrated dmen out there.
ezlot76
Yandle, while worth the picks and a good offensive dman, not worth that money especially for that long. Now if we could get Ekblad signed for that long, be the first good thing Rowe has done for the Cats.
