There could be issues surrounding tenacity, will, a sense of entitlement, etc, but I'm usually more comfortable chalking up a team's struggles to the roster not having enough good hockey players, and not from being good enough human beings. The same holds true when a team is successful. I'm not much more of a fan of hero worship sports talk when a team is good either.

 

Don't get me wrong: these are people playing a sport, and there is something to it. I just don't think it's nearly as big of an element as a lot of people see it as being.
