  1. A owner usually hires people to do a job for them,

You simply can't Macro manage a team successfully without hiring personnel under you to micro manage the personnel under them.

But to say that Snider is ignorant of hockey? I just don't see owning a team and not having interest in the game.

  2. Well, the GM is hired by the owner, so I can't really blame Paul for anything, he just blindly listens to the guy that signs his paychecks.

Arguing semantics about what a period is vs a quarter when they're the exact same thing.

You don't seem me going on berating you guys in every thread where you use "to too two" incorrectly or "there their they're" which are actual violations of grammar rather than Synonyms. Then again this is philly and the only logical thing to do is to create blame where it doesn't belong in hindsight.

However, blaming bob for playing an extra game? Then turning around and blaming someone else for not giving him a fair chance? Its one or the other not both.

  3. Blaming Leighton for all those shut-outs that got them to the cup finals

Bob for ****ting the bed every chance that gave him?

Bryz for coming to a new team that supposedly hated him and played like ass in front of him and the nights he played well IE the Jersey series where he shut out the devils for 2 quarters while his team durdled around in front of him? He may not have been the answer to our goalie woes, but neither was Grossman and the other 35+ year old d-men that just skated in circles hoping that by some miracle Chris Pronger would show up in the locker room suited up and ready to play.

Lavi? I dunno, he turned Giroux into a scoring machine that pretty much matched both carter and Richards after they left.

Ed is really the only thing that makes sense to blame. No goalie is going to steal you 12 games in a play-off run, why everyone expected it to happen is beyond me. Tukka couldn't even keep up with the barrage that the Bruins let him endure.

19 skaters to a team and you are all so focused on the coaches, owners and the lone goal keeper to win you a cup.

and yes, I KNOW there are 20 skaters, but if you're counting on the back-up keeper to change the face of a team down so many goals that he had to be used in the first place you might as well go play golf.

  4. Claude Giroux I fear may follow in the footsteps of Mike Richards, named Captain of a great franchise too soon and can not handle the pressure of such a title. this season is a very important one to coach Lavvy and the team and he has the stupidty to break a golf club over his knee and wreck his index finger on shooting hand??? I say he might be out longer than 6 weeks, we know how much Flyers lie about injuries, see Mezaros. I can't believe with about 4 weeks to go camp in an upcoming important season to re establish themselves Giroux does this playing Golg no less a boring boring game that by the 5 th hole I'm bored already!!!!! SMH!!!!

According to Giroux, the club hit behind the ball when it shattered, meaning he hit the ground and drove the club through that resistance to force a bend and shatter of the fiberglass shaft on the club he was using,This is fairly common.

Where are you getting this "He broke the club over his knee" bit from?

  5. Man, you'd think for 63 million he'd be practicing his wrist shot instead of his chip shot.

As for his club? This is much like your stick betraying you when you're playing hockey and suddenly snapping. A lot of golf club's have shafts made of fiberglass, which is decent enough in flexible strength but will shatter if tension is applied to a weak point. Luck of the draw really.

  6. @flyercanuck Even if he was not dealt, there is no way he could have played out that contract. The fans are to vicious, to vocal...his family would have to go into hiding, along with him. After a few years, season ticket holders would have walked away in force. They would have inevitably forced Ed's hand.

Why haven't we not forced his hand on his own ass out the office?
