Will be intersting to see how penalities are treated on HBO... Could you imagine if they actually start researching some of the bitching? I know in the other, similar thread I said others view we get away with everything, but if you actually poke around that bear... something might bite.

One thing that really bothers me about the NHL is it seems they do not get updated headshots of players in current uniforms to media. It has actually gotten worse over the years, since they centralized team content on websites. The NFL and MLB immediately update any image after a player is traded/cut/moves via FA. I know the 'Yotes logo was not there, but still...

I did some work in Winnipeg a few years ago, and had a great time -- but that is what happens when you can talk hockey, lacrosse and drink at pace with the locals I also found it to be a very honest place, especially with the greeting/apology to travelers about the (old) Winnipeg airport when going through passport control and customs. I don't buy it was entirely becasue of comments he made to the media... Maybe it was trying to let Bob get a do-over for the last time. Maybe it was to prevent a "lost in the woods" comment... I mean, do we sit Pronger when visiting Edmonton?

Not sure what that was... maybe for the people that spent the most $ on their tickets, or club holders... If it is access to McFaddens, that is kinda weak.. if it is access to Harry the Ks (that actually has field-view) that could be pretty cool...

It's funny, when I talk to friends & family of other teams, they think the Flyers get away with murder (still) and they get called for any little thing. It's hard to argue, these discussions rarely happen when our two rooting interests are against one another. That said, I think I have only ever seen the infamous tripple minors given out to Flyers... and who can forget the minor penalities for being Brashear, Carcillo. Also questionable was the delay of games called during the Panthers game -- when is the last time league ops actually told the officials to stop blowing the play dead?

Almost can't wait for the Shanny video on that one... @ruxpin, I agree with you to a point, but then the infamous gray area known as official discussion will begin. Oh wait, that bus already left?

Hopefully, he'll use a prompter. Then we'll have hope that someone wrote in "blink" and "smile/attempt to move your entire mouth when speaking" to it. Seriously, though; nice honor for his AHL career.

It is very weird hearing his name on the radio calls and remembering that it is actually a good thing Wonder if he will get the all star votes? I am not a huge fan of the popularity contest... but it is an interesting development, to say the least.

phl -- you may already know this; but season ticket holders were limited to only the number of seats they have normally. All three games (PHL/NYR, Phantoms, Alumni) had to be purchased, with "no planned additional sale." Allegedly the next priority goes to a limited number of partial plan holders. Then Rangers ticket holders. Then Phillies full season ticket holders. For best results, keep an eye on the secondary market... That is really going to be the best bet. Good luck!
