  1. Yes- the name is skewiff on purpose!!!!
  2. The whole reason you don't see a lot of full right goalies is the reason why you see few left handed guitar players playing with a left hand guitar: not many lefties. Even though I shoot left handed, every person selling equipment would ask if I threw baseballs left handed, therefore determining whether or not to be a full right goalie. In essence, the left hander shoots right with the left hand, kind of in a back hand motion.
  3. Stu forgot that Moose Piss is 240 miles north of Winnipeg. It's those concussions!!!!
  4. Moose Piss Manitoba is 40 miles north of Winnipeg, btw.
  5. @goalnut3133 See the legend of Stuarto Pidasso. He is a big Stupid *ss hole!!!! And Stu is only 5' 1 1/2" tall. Yeah- he sure got Lindros' sweater over his head. Right...
  6. More throwback gear!!!! Cool stuff!!! Cooper SK600. Interesting choice.
  7. Stuarto Pidasso, a.k.a. "Big Stu" Pidasso was born in St. Louis, MO in 1972. He played hockey from six months old, even though records show he was on his high school team as the bench warmer in 1987. But Stu says he played all that time. Stu was on a Junior B squad in the late '80s in a town he can't recall. Then he catapulted to a Junior A squad in Moose Piss, Manitoba. "When I played for the Moose Piss Trees, this is where I went toe-to-toe with Lindros and Weight. I was the enforcer on my Junior A team." Even though both slight in build and short in height, Stu was the most aggressive enforcer. "I got Lindros' sweater over his head in one fight. I clocked him a time or two, then got his autograph 'cos i knew he was gonna be a super star!!!" Then Stu was drafted by the Rapid City Raging Rabbits in 1990: "Yep, that was a blast being on that semi-pro team. I was paid $25 per game. Fun stuff. Can't remember anybody's names. Bad concussions. But my Gretzky-profiled skates and custom-ordered Titan gloves were bought at Gunzo's in Chicago." Here's Stu's sweater:
  8. If that weren't some award in Europe that they give away, I would TOTALLY have one of those!!!! those are freaking AWESOME!!!!!!
  9. @goalnut3133 my bad- Keep trying to age the season. Winterpeg Manisnowba lol!!!! There is nothing in Winni- been there once for a tournament. Very nice people in Winni, however.
  10. I know they was the Thrashers, and they didn't do much, except rent Tkachuck for a playoffs a few years back. Think we'll be 7-1 after tonight?
  11. Adding an Avision Ahead combo visor/cage. I may as well have the best I can get.
  12. link to old gold (note: lacrosse helmet for colour reference only!): http://www.lax.com/lacrosse-equipment/Cascade-CPXR-Lacrosse-Helmets-10342.html
  13. Don Cherry needs to be Commissioner of the NHL!!!!!
  14. Ding ding!!!!! Stuarto Pidasso is a has-been left winger who played in Junior hockey for a couple of seasons. He will tell you all about how he heckled Lindros and other players of his time in Juniors. But when you ask him his coaches' names, he claims to have had too many concussions to remember. Stu: "All such a foggy time back then. I remember my dad taking me to the rink in his blue Ford Ranger. He loved that truck, and he got 385,956 miles on it before he traded it. He put over 200,000 miles on it driving me to and from the rinks. "Anyway- I had the coolest pair of CCM Ultra Tacks with Gretzky blue Tuuks. I wore a Jofa VM helmet. And i went toe to toe with Doug Weight." (person listening to story): "I lived in Rapid City in the late '80s through mid '90s. I never knew that the Raging Rabbits were playing then. I worked at the local rink and don't remember you ever being at the rink. Who was your coach?" Stu: "Ummm, I got hit in the head a lot. I didn't play home games all that much in that rink. Maybe we're talking about a different Rapid City?"
  15. @goalnut3133 I hear you on trying it out in the store, but this is a model I didn't see in Total Hockey or the LHS, let alone the ice rink pro shoppe. But as well, their clearance helmets are in weird colours (as if gold isn't weird) and sizes. This one seems to have the modern fit bells and whistles. I figure if a Bauer 2100 fits okay, then this one has to be in the same ballpark, right?
  16. But of course!!! Gold is an accent colour. I have gold and navy as well as gold and red gloves. The gold helmet pulls it all together!!!! I wear old Dallas 3rd, Nashville 3rd, Atlanta road, and Toronto home sweaters. Gold goes with EVERYTHING!!!!!
  17. My twice worn Bauer 2100 was determined to be a bleedin' sweat box!!!! Bloody fuggin' hell!!!! I don't remember helmets being THIS hot!!!! I think this one has 1970's tech as far as hotness on the noggin. If me head weren't shaved, I would be a nasty mess by the end of game time!!!! I don't remember my old SK600 or SK1000 being this much of a sweat box... I decided to go with a Bauer IMS 7.0 custom colour. I went with Old Gold with purple vents. Yeah- I play shinny about two-four times per month. No team means no restrictions on colour!!!!! I love gold!!!!! I think I am finally getting a helmet with 21st century tech inside!!!! I am stoked!!!!! She will be 14 days plus shipping away!!!!
  18. Hopefully, the patch company get get it looking good, lol.
  19. I don't know why my pix show upside down.
  20. The logo is a take-off from the Penguins logo. It's an imaginary team called the "Raging Rabbits of Rapid City". It's going on one of my practise/pick-up game sweaters. The last name is imprinted is "Pidasso". Bonus points to whom ever figures out Pidasso's first name.
  21. waddaya think: click on image to see right side up.
  22. Darn!!! She is upside down. Bloody iPad...
  23. Trix has the following quote: "Grunt grunt, snort snort, grrrrrr, honk!!!!" Rough translation: I hate them stinky Sharks, but they are a worthy adversary!!! Go Blues!!!!
