Moulson isn't re-signing with the Sabres & will be dealt at the deadline. So the Sabres will end up getting a 1st, 2nd (for Vanek) plus a somewhat similar return for Moulson. GREAT deal for the Sabres.

@EVERYONE Sorry all, busy weekend. I haven't really had a chance to watch Philly other than when you guys played us, but quite honestly I thought that you outplayed us that night--except for Bernier, he was stellar. I think the Leafs still have some growing pains to get through, but I like the potential for this team. It's inexcusable that they blew the lead against Carolina, but sadly I predicted that they would lose that game (prior to taking a 2-0 lead, of course). People ready to give up on Gardiner & trade him are clearly drunk--he has a TON of upside & his skating ability is other-worldly. I haven't been all THAT impressed with Rielly's current game, but you can see that he's going to be an absolute stud a few years down the road. I'm saddened that the "pluralization" of Leaf(s) is still in question by those who should know better. For those who are lazy (such as myself), please focus on the section titled "Conn Smythe Era". For those who want to read more about the most glorious franchise in all of pro sports, please feel free to read the whole beautiful story.

Well hello Mad Dog & Ruxpin, it's been far too long. I made that prediction a couple of years ago with all sincerity, & it does certainly seem as though we are on the right path. 3rd in penalty killing, 3rd in power play, 2 very good goaltenders, 3 lines that can score, some highly skilled up & coming D-men, team toughness, 4th line stud in McClemment, good coaching, good team chemistry, on & on. Now, I certainly don't think that we'll win 6 out of every 7 games, but this is a team to watch out for over the next few years. Having said that, what in the blue hell is wrong with Philly? I don't see them as a last place team, or anywhere close to that--what's going on in cheesesteak-land??

I said a couple of years ago that the Leafs would win the Cup by the 2015 season. This isn't a sudden prediction based on their blazing hot start. If there's actually anyone left on the scorched earth that was once known as Philly.com, my claim can be substantiated. The fact that they're 6-1 & not yet at all playing their best hockey (& without two of their top 9 forwards) is a good sign. Last year I predicted the Leafs would make the playoffs & get knocked out in the 1st round. This year, we will go deeper........bet the house on it!
