i was just referring to the contract.  The draft picks that we’re included didn’t provide any of the $43K in cap space that was gained.

Pretty good game by the Flyers tonight.  Jones didn't do anything spectacular in net but he was solid.  The veterans (Yandle, Brassard) showed lots of leadership and weren't taking any schitt from the Caps.  Risto was physical all night.  They only scored one on the power play but they had good puck movement and it looked good.  There were lots of odd man breaks for the Flyers capped off by Laughton's breakaway goal.  Overall, a good night!  If their play translates to the regular season and it will be a good year!

Although they are long shots to make the big club, Wisdom and Zech are also out for 6-8 weeks with upper body injuries.

This season, even though training camp hasn’t begun yet, is not starting out on a good note.  At least 3 guys out with injuries already.  They won’t be in “game shape” when they make it back off the IR.

I like the Yandle signing. There's really no downside to it. All for a low price and no real commitment. What's not to like about that?

 

He also brings in more experience and the possibility of playing a mentor role, which I do think is more important than we might understand it to be a lot of the time.

Eberle went to the Kraken in the expansion draft.

I’m OK with this signing.  Yandle isn’t flashy but I think he is pretty steady.

Yandle may break Doug Jarvis’ consecutive games played record this year.  Actually, 3 guys may break it this year.
