  1. Stalock, surprisingly, stopped Kucherov on a breakaway...not once, but a second time on a rebound... Bet if that were Pittsburgh or Colorado bearing down on him he gives up the goal easily...
  2. Ouch...waiting on AAA or some such at least? Sorry to hear that. Especially with as cold as it is out there (assuming you are in the upper Midwest). Hope that all gets sorted fast!
  3. For whatever reason, the Lighting have trouble winning in St. Paul. They haven't won there since 2012 or some such. I was at a game between TB and Min some years ago while I was a partial STH for Minnesota...decked out in Lightning gear (only time I visit the X wearing anything other than a Wild sweater), and the Bolts got killed that night something like 7-2 or something like that. Fan next to me leans over and says, "I thought Florida was supposed to be good" LOL at yea....the team not playing as well as they normally do (dismal in fact) in front of the Wild fans. DOUBLE LOL at the State of Hockey fan who truly didn't realize there was a difference between the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
  4. Bolts looked like they stepped up the SOG on Stalock, but too little too late towards the end of the period. Wild will have a chance to reset during the intermission...……… or will the Lightning smooth out their defensive play and continue where they left off at period's end? Stay tuned.... 1-0 Wild on a Zach Parise PP goal after 1
  5. Parise and the Wild draw first blood. PP goal... 1-0 Minnesota Very good puck movement, and Curtis McElhinney giving up HUGE rebounds.
  6. Game is starting to look surprisingly chippy for two teams that don't see each other too often. They are probably doing that on purpose to irritate me...
  7. Probably factual, but also sounds like someone has too much time on their hands...
  8. 2nd PP for Minnesota. TB playing a bit sloppy in their end, contributing to Wild PP chances.
  9. Cirelli stirring things up in front of the Wild goal.... Soucy having none of it.
  10. Impressive set up by EEK and Kunin…. Kunin missed the open net though! Lightning dodged one there on a sudden offensive burst by two of the Wild's younger players.
  11. Lightning very fast in the offensive zone, keeping the Wild hemmed in. Minnesota was doing better zoning Bolts players...they tried going man to man, TB is outskating them.
  12. I'll be viewing this game like a mom watching her two sons go at it. Is this how Mrs. Tkachuk feels when the Flames play the Senators?
  13. Then again.... "TRADE JAKE NOW...HIS VALUE WILL NEVER BE HIGHER!!"
  14. Elliot gets me a NAHANA win although I would have liked it with just the one goal against.... oh well...I will take what I can with him...
  15. Voracek in post game interview: "They give us lots penalties....we stuck with it...it was CCCCRAZZZZY..."
  16. Voracek earns himself a bit of respite from the Flyer faithful wrath with that OT goal, no?
  17. A stat was just shown that David Perron leads the league in OT winning goals....boy, would that be a stinger if HE were the one to get it here......
  18. I don't really subscribe to the 'conspiracy theories' when it comes to penalties called, but even I have to agree that St. Louis is not playing NEARLY as clean a game as their time on the PK is suggesting.....that is to say, they aren't taking many and are playing a mistake free game. Of course, the eye test says otherwise.
  19. Was just thinking before you posted... "Flyers needed to bury this thing earlier" Blues defense was looking vulnerable...not so much now.
  20. Well....Flyers doing Flyer things now. Coughed up the two goal lead, Elliot looking like, well, Elliot, and now TK is in the penalty box giving St. L yet another PP opportunity.
  21. Damn good work by Philly on that 5 on 3 PK. Some good patience shown, smarts on what lanes to cover, and made the right choices on hits along the boards.
  22. Philly imploding??? Jeebus….. everything going their way, and now they feel compelled to take penalties. 5 on 3 for the Blues..
