NP. I do like talking martial arts. Not something everyone either likes to talk about or know much about to be able to carry on a conversation with me for long about. But I don't mind answering questions (ones I can anyways) about it.

I am not a master by any stretch, but I have been involved to various degrees in it since I was about 7 years old.

Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido are more my thing.

I managed an Ea Dan ranking in both...2nd degree black...which is considered 'lower tier' among black belts, but I have been around and exposed to different people of different types of martial arts over the years (including my husband who was an Army Ranger), and have learned to keep an open mind about different ones and to try and at least understand what is behind what they practice.

I've even gotten involved for short periods in others outside my usual Korean styles just to get a taste of what they are like.

Japanese Ueichi-Ryu (traditional karate) and Jiu Jitsu (grappling/wrestling), Muy Thai (Kickboxing from Thailand), South American Capoeira (dancing style with lots of kicking...yes, I said DANCING...lol), Shim Shin Do (sort of a 'dirty version' of tae kwon do), and even good ol fashioned American boxing...these are some of the other things I've done in samples at different points to be able to say, "hey, I've tried that!"

As for my husband, I picked up some Krav Maga from him...I believe that is what the military uses in their hand to hand combat training.

LOL..sorry for the ramble. As you can see, I do love this sort of stuff.

As a mom now, I don't get that opportunity to do these things much, except incorporate them sometimes into my morning exercise routines.....I am trying NOT to be one of those moms who puts on a bunch of weight, then can't lose it again....probably vain on my part, but hey, I am not an old lady yet....

Don't know off the top of my head of any Vietnamese specific styles, but there are tons of kung fu styles out of China.

Wushu (sport kung fu), Wing Chun (traditional misdirection/striking style), and various animal styles for instance (monkey, mantis, leopard)...just to name a few that come to mind.

Don't know much about Chinese styles as I have never partaken in them, but I do know China has no shortage of varieties

      Hapkido is from Korea.

It is a form of redirection and grappling style that most Tae Kwon Do practitioners use to compliment their kicking style. :)
