  1. Thank you one and all. I have added the Malwarebytes trial program and switched from McAfee back to Kaspersky Internet Security ( remind me not to be too cheap when it comes to internet security being on sale, I'll never buy McAfee again) I hate buying PC Protection for 3 computers when I only have 1 computer, but since the switch back it's stopping all the phishing attacks and malwarebytes already scanned twice and got rid of a lot on the 1st scan. I can watch Youtube w/o commercials playing the same time as the music on IE even.

I've watched games on here before and never had a problem like that, but that was with Kaspersky as my PC protection, so I'll never buy a cheap product again. And maybe that's my problem, not enough porn sites Doom, ha ha. Not easy to watch with a 7 yr old fighting me for my computer all the time. I'm your average Joe when it comes to computers and the Linux thing is starting to sound confusing, sounds like a job for my nephews who are more technical than me. But so far so good, speed and performance is close to 100%. I will watch the games when needed on the Russian website, thanks Van.

  2. I streamed a live game on here last weekend and ever since then, my computer has been attacked by ad pop ups and my computer is very slow and wants to crash. I used IE and my web protection is McAfee, going back to Kaspersky I think, I have ran full scans and always says computer is protected. Any compter techs on here? have any suggestions to get my computer back to par?

  3. It was a great win, if not for Mason, Canucks got this one. The Flyers were well represented at the game, I would say at least a couple thousand Flyers jerseys and hats worn by Flyers fans walking around Rogers Arena, including me. I cringed every time I saw 41 & 22 out there, they made simple clearing attempts look difficult. Voracek has to learn to pass the puck once in awhile. But even when the Canucks went up 3 - 2, I had a feeling it wasn't over.

  4. Re: Jammer

Henry Boucha would be a better choice than Gino Odjick. I play in a golf tourney every September at a course in Vancouver, Gino ownes half of it. He usually likes to play every year, but due to too many concussions in his playing days in the NHL, he was unable to play this year. He made a short appereance on a golf cart, but he had to get back to the psych ward as he was out on a 1 hour visit. According to some of the local Tribe members(Musqeum), he doesn't know where he is half the time. Sad, really.

  5. Re Howie 58:

Good to see you too Howie,

The last time I was this excited about a goalie was when the late Pelle Lindbergh started his short career for the Flyers. I hope Mason turns out to be the real deal, as we know what great goalies can do for you. Up here in Canada we had the Sportsnet East feed and it's horrible to watch the Flyers games on, I had it on mute a lot of times. Those close defensive games are fun to watch, but it's good to see the Flyers put it away like they did last night. Interesting artilce on Philly.com today, said that Giroux's game started to turn around after recieving a text from Richards. Good to see Giroux going again.

  6. Love how the Flyers are playing lately. Kimmo was an offensive beast tonight, another solid goaltending performance from Mason, Giroux's line looked sharp tonight, 3 goals in the 3d period. That dis allowed goal against the Sens was a favourable bounce, swung the momentium the Flyers way. Only things left to whine about are Dean Brown and Denis Potvin, pathetic at times, they gave Philly credit at times, but their b*ners for the Sens are pretty obvious, lol. Oh yeah and what is Mark Streit's role with this team again? He needs a new role, he has perfected the pass that bounces over his stick at the blueline and pretty good at giveaways at key moments in the game.

  7. It really is baffling. Not enough high end talent on this team, Ed and Homer think the Rinaldo's, Rosehill's and Downie's are still the key to championships. Oh well should get a high draft pick and tons of money to go after some UFA's in the off season, if Homer doesn't sign Kimmo to another $6,000,000 contract.

  8. The one player we lost not through trade that hurt us the most was losing Pronger, after he went out that's when things started to go downhill. Thumbs up to Homer for trying to replace him, things may be different if we had Shea Webber in a Flyer uniform, but it was a long shot.  Had Pronger's career not ended we may have had all the mentioned players yet.  But that was not the case either.  I miss Richards the most, his grit and offence, then  Carter's offence, yes he missed a lot of shots but at least he shot the puck and JVR may not be the beast we expected but I'm still thinking he could be a 20-25 goal scorer. In a decent year those 3 players could produce at least 75 goals.

  9. I'm a Flyer fan because of Bobby Clarke, I became a fan 41 years ago, loved his work ethic. The love for the Flyers will always be there, I couldn't see myself cheering for another team the way I cheer for the Flyers, St. Louis has always been a distant 2nd favorite team, since I'm in Canuckville land(ferry ride away), I get exposed to a lot of Canucks games and fans, but I can't cheer for them. Last two times they went to the finals, I went for the NYR and Bruins.

The interest will always be there, wether Ed says he retools the culture or not. I can live with another down year, I wouldn't want to blow up the team just for the sake of it. Wait until summer see if the Sedins and/or Vanek are available when the cap goes up a bit and we shed 12 million or so $$.

Watching the Canucks game this morning against the Pens, the Sedins have some skill, and thats what we need, someone to play with Giroux or Lecalvier. Top notch talent. vanek would look onthe top line too. If they reach UFA status, I would join the line up to sign them.

  10. @ Andy

I would take Hartnell off, this would be my list:

    Knuble - ufa

    Gagnge- ufa

    Timonen- b/o

    Fedetenko- ufa

    Shelley- ufa

    Pronger retires

trade Briere @ the deadline, he would move to a contender at his age

I hesitate to put Bryzgalov on there due to lack of depth at that position, maybe if we can get Backstrom from Minny, then yeah buy him out.

All the vets have lost a step this year, no use making a trade to make the p/o's, do all these buyouts and trades at the end of the year, except Briere. Go for the lottery pick.

  11. "If they win this series it willbe in spite of Bryzgalov not because of him. Having said all that not much coming from the rest of the team lately."

Bryz can take his fair share of the blame, but like you said not a heck of a lot being done by the rest of the team. NJ forecheck is tenacious, causing panick and t/o's by our dmen. They are way quicker to the puck and winning the battles for the puck in all 3 zones, it's almost like we played a 7 game series and only had 2 days off. Giroux, Hartnell and Kimmo look gassed or injured, Jagr is non existent. Their stars are stepping up, ours aren't.
