Lolz at Marchand...couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!
Playoff atmosphere in the building to go along with the playoff weather we have been having in Philly lately. Let’s go Flyers chants were reverberating throughout the concourse as we were exiting the building.
Best shootout ever, LOL
I was at the game also. Hart looked half asleep on some of those goals by the Bruins. A very nice team effort to totally control the game in the 3rd period.

World Juniors disscussion was moved to pre-existing topic.

I noticed that...not to many USA posters this year...
yawn...
What is there to say. USA played well vs Canada and lost. USA played well vs Russia and won. USA played well vs Finland and again lost a very tight game.
Maybe they will have better luck next year.

The bolded part sounds like a very reasonable way to continue constructive discussion, you think?
The issue I brought up was/is a gang of posters dismissively ridiculing a single poster. You can understand it or you can't. You can make excuses for it all you want but from my point of view that's what's in this thread. I've seen you Flyers fans do it in other threads as well. Heated discussions 1 against 1 is a different story (which is part of this board life I guess) to which I haven't even referred to.
To me it's inexcusable a moderator is involved in this sort of bullying. Sometimes the object himself is maybe unable to understand what's going on or unwilling to admit it. At this point I'm not in the least interested in what you have to say about it. I've heard your plea, IMO it's far from convincing.
@hf101 , @TropicalFruitGirl26 or whoever deals with these things: Thoughts on this phenomena I tried to describe? Do you accept it as part of the discussions in here which shouldn't be intervened but to just suck it up? As in 'if you don't like how things are in here feel free to leave'?
Ridiculing any member is generally distructive in a forum community as it generally always takes a topic off topic.
There is alot history here, and while it can be fun to poke the bear a bit or reference some old posting jokes in a lighthearted manner we should all be considerate that others may not know the history and more can be made of than what is actually written. At the same time, too often we can take light jabbing a bit too far.
I think whenever there is a question about a post or topic being a bit over the line the report button should be clicked. This is the fasted way to get the moderators attention.

So what was Perreault's injury? Not a head shot.
Had the wind knocked out of him? ... any thing else?

Thanks. That explains why I heard they were playing with 9 forwards.

Did they play 7 defensemen then?
-
I wasn't able to watch this game. What 3 forwards were injured in this game?

Just getting a few moments to read up on this. Horrible news. Hopefully they have caught this cancer early.
Thanks for the update on the disease @pilldoc.
Many prayers for Oscar for a complete and quick recovery.

Again, take the nets down, put on tutu's and do a whole bunch of triple axels, Salchows and toe loops. Extreme skill. It's not hockey.
There is a clear difference... A hockey game is played without music.

I dunno. I went to last night's game and I rather enjoyed the tight stick handling, and intense defensive skilled play. I mentioned after the game how so many won't appreciate the incredible skill it takes to play this type of game. It sure beats the stupid center ice fights that some called hockey.

Sorry, I was thinking that you are talking about the problem on a site. From my observation any threads started late evening yesterday on your forum as well as the Wild forum do not calculate numbers of views who was able to read each specific thread. For example, on 14 replies of this thread we have 0 views, which is wrong.
Wow, I hadn't noticed. I have an upgrade to do soon. maybe it is just a bug. Or maybe releated to a pluggin on the main page.
Thanks. Feel free to drop me a PM any time you see something that seems like it isn't working properly.

I can't really say I'll miss Morin. Too bad on his injuries, but I never thought he was all that great.

The Hockey Guy has come up with a monthly average for the league based on a look at the overall numbers. Do you agree?
-
That was the 2nd longest shootout in Flyers history. Which for typical Flyers' shootouts is a win. Just not an extra point.

When it goes11 rounds you have to give the goalies some credit.
