  1. Here is more info regarding our training camp and pre-season schedule, which is going to start very soon (on Sunday, September 24th) at Colorado. https://www.nhl.com/wild/news/minnesota-wild-opens-training-camp-september-21-at-tria-rink https://www.nhl.com/wild/news/wild-camp-day-1
  2. I am interested in this season too, because I think, it is going to be intriguing by using more youngsters as well as more tough players like Maroon; Khaira in addition to Foligno.
  3. Here is a review of 2 games , which we had the last week at Tom Kurvers Prospects Showcase: against St.Louis (score was 1:5) https://www.nhl.com/wild/news/tk-showcase-recap-game-1 and against Chicago (score was 7:4) https://www.nhl.com/wild/news/tk-showcase-recap-game-2 The most productive in 2 games, in my opinion, was Sammy Walker who had 13 shots on goal ( 5 in the game#1 and 8 in game#2 ; hat trick and 1 assist).
  4. According to a presented Wild roster, we are going to have pretty productive players as in offense as well as in defense. I do not think we had that before. It seems an interesting strategy for our new prospect team. Will see how it will work next week. Hopefully, well.
  5. Agree. Most our players have a chance to play in different lines depending of their level of play during the game as well as depending of the coach decision too.
  6. Here is a Minnesota Wild roster for Tom Kurvers prospect show case at Tria Rink from 09/15-09/17 against Chicago and St. Louis. All games will be streamed on YouTube channel. https://www.iowawild.com/news/detail/minnesota-wild-to-host-tom-kurvers-prospect-showcase-at-tria-rink-1
  7. Here is a recent NHL Tonight interview with Matt Boldy. That video is also presenting our offensive lines for this season. It seems Gaudreau will play in the 4th line with Maroon and Dewar. Rossi will play as a center with Foligno and Duhaime in a 3rd line. 2nd line will have Boldy-EEK-Johansson. And 1st line will be unchanged Kaprizov-Hartman-Zuccarello. They also said that defenseman Klingberg is not going to play for the Wild. I just looked for him - he will play for Toronto. I think he was a pretty good player, but probably too expensive for us and Wild made a room for Faber. https://www.nhl.com/video/nhl-tonight-matt-boldy-wild-345708470
  8. Interesting, what is Iowa Wild team will show us this season with a new coaching staff? Maybe the talents will bloom better there? Always a hope for a better success. Still believe into an axiom that a smart coaching staff is affecting well on the prospect's talent development which is an important part of the hockey sport.
  9. Agree. Big adjustment. And Marco Rossi hit that wall too last season when played 19 games and then he was benched for a couples of weeks because he didn't want to go back to Iowa.
  10. And again, more thoughts from Tony Abbott about Marco Rossi. Definitely Tony has a talent to present a different analytic view regarding our players. https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/marco-rossi-has-to-overcome-everyone-elses-fears-r29542/
  11. A new article came out from Tony Abbott on how to project/to predict a future Kaprizov's contract: https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/does-auston-matthews-set-the-market-for-kirill-kaprizovs-next-deal-r29543/
  12. Still not sure if properly constructed team will win the cup 99% of the time. Too high percentage for me. Probably 70% is a hard teamwork of properly constructed team and 30% is a luck of the team in placing crucial goals in opposing net as well as avoiding harmful injuries for themselves during playoffs run. An example was Florida Panthers this playoffs, who was able to beat Boston during the round#1 (Bruins was the best team in entire NHL history in wins during this regular season), then Panthers were able to beat Toronto (one of the best productive team in NHL) during the round#2; and then they were able to beat Carolina during the round#3, which is also the best real Cup contender NHL team. Then Tkachuk got an injury during the final round against Vegas and that was it. I am also thinking that Vegas (Cup winner this season) didn't have as tough teams as Panthers had during their travel to the top of the win. But still Vegas success since they became an NHL team (6 years ago) should be carefully studied, especially all playoffs' seasons. What is their secret?
  13. . What is common between words "Minnesota Twins" and "Minnesota Wild"? The word "Minnesota". I really want to see the word "Minnesota" to be written "MINNESOTA" that every hockey media will talk about Wild as a real cup contender, but not a ballast for the 1st round playoffs as usual we are. We lost these playoffs season an absolutely nice chance to beat Dallas team, but we didn't. We were not able to control Suter, who cruelly blocked previously injured Kaprizov entire round#1. Where was Reaves during that entire round#1? Practically invisible. And Foligno has got multiple penalties for nothing during that time. Not acceptable judge from unprofessional referees during same entire round#1. Hope Maroon will show how to protect crucial players for this game. His role for this club should be enormous. I do not think we had anything of that level before.
  14. I am surprised that in 3 weeks the other 2 new interesting articles came regarding a nice potential of our 2 promising prospects: Marat Khusnutdinov: https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/marat-khusnutdinov-can-hit-the-ground-running-next-year-r29539/ and Danila Iurov: https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/danila-yurov-is-the-whole-package-and-arriving-soon-r29530/ It seems both have a chance to come to us next season, sooner than it was predicted.
  15. I think you are right. Interesting, I watched on YouTube a couple hours ago that commentators predicted a very promising trio in the Wild club for 2025-26 season Kaprizov-Yurov-Khusnutdinov. Their info was based on the "Athletic" info. And this way Wild will hold Kaprizov to stay here. Agree also regarding Ohgren. It seems very nice potential for that player too.
  16. Probably with that Arizona sign for Dumba, we will be able to sign Addison. I do not know why , but now I have more feelings that with Maroon on our team and current roster we will pass next season at least 2 playoffs rounds. Usually Maroon brings more luck to the teams where he plays . And a better protection. Tampa is an example. We will see for our team of 2023-24 season, but it is always a hope for a better success.
  17. I hope so too. Boldy showed right away his potential in NHL, but Rossi did not. In 19 NHL games he had only 1 assist; +/- -7 last season. Some Wild fans at my work who watched games at arena said that he looked frustrated during the game, and it looked like he didn't know what the next step he supposed to do. Next 2023-24 season should show more if he is an NHL-er player. I am also concerned about the eye vision for Faber. It seems he has eye problems, carry eyeglasses and probably contacts too. I do not know how that will affect his play as a defenseman. Sharp vision is an important part of a solid defenseman.
  18. Sam Steel was signed by Dallas Stars for $850,000 for one 2023-2024 season. I think he was good for us last season (28 points ;10 goals; 18 assists; +/- +11) in 65 played games. He played a portion of the season with a top line with Kaprizov and Zuccarello, started well, showed some promise, but, unfortunately, did not show consistency in production with that line.
  19. Here are a couple of articles published by hockeywilderness regarding our prospects Marat Khusnutdinov and Danila Yurov: https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/the-marat-khusnutdinov-countdown-starts-now-r29391/ https://hockeywilderness.com/news-rumors/minnesota-wild/changing-positions-would-change-the-game-for-danila-yurov-r29511/
  20. Good sign and nice agreement for both sides. Nice that this happened even before August,4(arbitration day for him). It seems we have some future at least on a goalies part. In my opinion, without Gustavsson it would be harder for the team to get some positive results.
  21. Here is eliteprospects info regarding our former prospect Minnesotan Brennan Menell: https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/283890/brennan-menell He was pretty successful in AHL and WHL, and it seems he was very successful for the good teams in KHL (38 points out of 47 played games for the Dinamo Minsk in 2020-2021 season and 24 points out of 44 played games for Dinamo Moscow in 2022-2023 season). Unfortunately, by the Evason's influence he had a minimal chance to play only 5 NHL games for the Wild team. And according to Brennan Menell record data on that eliteprospects link he has now a dual citizenship for USA and Russia. Yesterday, according to news, he has got a Russian citizenship personally from their President. It is a very rare event happening for the US professional hockey players in a life time history.
  22. Not at all. I think Guerin will make everything to keep him here. We didn't have anything better than Kaprizov in the Wild history.
  23. I hope no excuses for Evason this season. Time for changes if the team is planning to be a real Cup contender.
  24. I agree with your message. In supporting this, I watched yesterday a hockey program on YouTube. Commentators said Kaprizov would not stay long for the Wild, but high chance that he will go to Philadelphia and will play with Michkov when that player will start his NHL career. Kirill wants to play with talented Russian players. Better communication, better chemistry, better outcome for the team. Maybe the Wild will start looking for same formula to avoid his transfer to another club? Interesting, I am talking about this for years. Out of our 9 Russian speaking players-prospects which we had in a past we have got zero to add to Kaprizov's talent. We should bring here soon Khusnutdinov (draft#2;37 overall) and Yurov(draft #1; 24 overall). Both have a nice experience in KHL ( both players played 3 seasons already for top teams) and they are not expensive too (they are even not signed). And maybe our team will look better with them?
  25. I just placed only the fact that he has a new title added to his current position. But in general , that President of Hockey Operations position will give him more chances to affect/to direct control the head coach decisions on lines changes and on the outcome of regular season as well as on playoffs season. Because it seems some Head Coach's decisions are not flexible, but stubborn for a period of time before he makes some necessary changes.
